I leased my 2018 Chevy Cruze in November 2017. I got the 12,000 annual miles but ended up staying 10,000 under in the end. I ended my lease early once I fell in love with a 2021 Trailblazer. Everything was smooth from start to finish! Here’s to another 3 years. 🙌🏽

In July of 2018 my husband and I were shopping around for vehicles and presented to the Chevrolet dealership in Winter Haven, FL to get some information about their trucks. After weeks of negotiating a monthly payment for a car, we came to an agreement on July 30th (dealers always try to make deals towards the end of the month to meet their quota). My husband and I wanted to put the new vehicle in both of our names and after the dealer ran my credit, I was made aware of a new account on my credit that Audi Financial Services failed to inform me of, from my previously leased vehicle that was turned in on February 2018– wear and tear fees for a car that was turned in below mileage with no physical damage to car. With this new information and to provide us with an incentive to purchase the Silverado, the salesman stated GM financial would pay off the remaining balance on the Audi invoice (I know nothing in life comes free, but they factored that additional amount into the loan and had no intent of telling us such until we saw the increase in the loan when we sat down to sign paperwork). After being at the dealership for SEVEN long hours, we decided to purchase the car. Fast-forward to July of 2019, over a year later, I receive an invoice from Audi FS that states that GM financial had actually only paid a portion of what they owed Audi FS and stated that it was my responsibility to pay the remaining balance and some odd change or my account would be in collections. Audi FS explained someone (not me), agreed on a payment plan of $***/month, but only covered a number of payments, but did not in fact pay the balance in full. Not only did I not have hundreds of dollars, that I did not factor into my monthly budget to pay the balance because I didn’t know it existed, but I became aggravated that the selling point of my husband and I purchasing the Silverado was a lie. I was apprehensive about receiving a large invoice after such a long time so to ensure I was not being scammed out of my money, I called Chevrolet of Winter Haven, as I’m thought it was a mistake in the financial department. The salesman that sold my car stated that they only cut a check for a portion that was due to Audi FS and claims that they paid the amount I told them. Why would I allow them to only pay a portion of an invoice, or give them such an odd number of the total? I also distinctly remember pulling up the invoice from my message center on Audi FS and provided it to the salesman to show the manager what the total was on the invoice so that the funds would be allocated accordingly. After a 30 minute discussion over the phone the Chevy dealer salesman stated that the matter was out of his hands and that it was now my responsibility to “figure it out”. I am now in the process of refinancing my car through another credit union so that GM financial does not get one more cent of my money. This is my worst investment ever. Not to mention, I am the one paying for their mistake, over a year later.

Put $20k down on new suburban set up auto pay for the remainder and got an email receipt saying no further action needed . My credit just dropped 100 points . I call GM they say sometimes it doesn’t go through and refuse to update my credit . Looking for a lawyer right now to return this vehicle and go through someone else.

GM Finance will totally rip you off.. I have paid appx $14000 in payments the first year of my loan and my principal balance is only $ 2000 than what i financed.. my interest rate is 13%.. One of the reps on the phone had the nerve to tell me that we take all of our interest up front, yet it is supposed to be a simple interest loan..

      Response from the owner

Hi there. We would like to look into this. Please send the name and ZIP on your account to [email protected]

Jose, we're very sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your vehicle. You mention working with a bank, so it's not clear that you are our customer. Are you financing this vehicle with us? If so, please call in so we can help.
