      I’ve been a member since I was 18, Family Savings denied membership at 18 with no prior credit history. GUCU took me in gave me a checking and savings along with auto loans with great rates and a credit card. Also, the Route 66 extended warranty they offer is a great company that actually covers repairs with no hassle. I highly recommend becoming a member with Georgia United. The folks at my branch are always helpful and nice.

      We love this credit union! We have all of our car loans with them and they go above and beyond to make the process as smooth as possible. Jessica the branch manager is always so helpful and responsive.

      I cannot believe I used to do business with GUCU. We had a 2nd Mortgage through them, and recently paid it off. I called them since they sent me a dormant account letter... They want to start charging my $10 balance account, $5 / month since I am not "Banking" with them (and Credit Unions try not to use the word Bank). I called them to offer to move $50K into a savings account, and they told me that if I did not "Bank" with them, they would charge me a monthly fee. I told them to close my account, and send me my $10... They told me I had to go in and fill out paper work (for my $10). I told them to keep my $10, and kill my account. They told me that they would consume my $10 and then keep charging me, hit my credit report, and then come after me for the negative Balance.

      Not sure why all the negative reviews, I guess people may have a good experience and as soon as one thing negative happens, they jump on here and give this bank 1 star because they are mad. I've used GUCU for about 5 years but I rarely walk in, I love their online website full of features, more so than my other bank accounts. Also, you can't beat their rates for car loans, of course you need to have good credit. I have another account at LGE Credit Union and years ago they were going to give me an auto load with 6% and GUCU gave me an auto loan of 2%. When I needed to talk to a person, they were always super helpful.

      You'll notice that all of the good reviews are from 3+ years ago. There used to be really nice people working here who would help you in any way that they can. Now, there’s snarky, rude people running the drive thru who could care less. Instead of offering solutions or at least trying to help, they only offer ONE way to complete tasks. A simple “I understand your situation, let me see how we can help” would make all the difference. Customer service has taken a turn for the worst since the pandemic. So glad I have other banks that I also use. Planning to close my account when I come back to the states.

      Long time member. Surprised to see low rating. Any place will not always make one happy and of course a lot of people will only take time to comment when annoyed. I have always had efficient and pleasant experience when getting auto and personal loans.

      I recently became a member ! I was welcomed by a team of ladies that was ready to answer all my questions . Samantha was the one that opened my account she was able to walk me through everything in a fast and easy way ! I will forever recommend them !

      I have been a member of Etoway valley/ Georgia United credit union for over 11 years now. I have never had one single problem with them except for now. For starters you cannot even walk in the branch even though all surrounding credit union lobbies are open. Number two we are trying to get an auto loan processed that is now in week number two of being “processed”. It saddens me to see such a downhill decline in great credit union like GUCU. After this experience we will be switching credit unions.

      Everything has been so crazy since the pandemic, but even being short staffed Georgia United Credit Union in Cartersville has been running so smoothly. Times going through the drive thru are quick and even on the most busiest days and being understaffed they are so courteous and knowledgeable. The ladies working inside are so easy to communicate with and helpful. Always a smile on their faces and greetings coming and going. I have recommended this branch to all of our friends here in Cartersville.

      They updated apps and website, the app defaulted back to my old cell number. Now i have changed it twice. Now cant even check my account because there are no after hours service. Changing as soon as i pay off my truck. Has been awful ever since they moved branches and went to a call center.
