Do not use this company for your solar loan! We’ve had nothing but issues with them with and their customer service. We are trying to refinance our house and I have had to contact them through every step because they are not being communicative to our home loan company. I would never use them as a bank and I hate that I have a loan with them. If you need a solar loan and try and find another company do not use them

The response less that a 5 star experience, well when my legal fees, and interest accrued on a bogus loan are refunded I will gladly update this review. Until then it stands! @Ross Garrett - Same exact thing happened to me for a solar install that never happened , now two years later I am still holding the bag and paying a loan for NOTHING! I never got the solar installed and am still in litigation with the installer , the CU never lifted a finger to help whatsoever!! I even wrote letters to the CU board with no response. Next stop State Attorney General Ross Garrett- Never do business with these people. They disbursed funds from a loan without my knowledge, then when it was done incorrectly they had no process for even filing a complaint with the bank. Spoke to multiple people in lending and would always ask for a case number or ticket # so that my complaints could be documented. They refuse to communicate in writing will only speak on the phone so nothing get documented.

So many issues, I don't know where to start. We had issues with so many different elements of the credit union. First off, their online banking has issues and often doesn't work. It even has you agree to the terms of service EVERY time, but there are no terms listed on the page or even a link! Lol. The in-person banking isn't any better. There were multiple times we had an issue and they were supposed to send us various documents, only to never get them. It became a pattern that we would wait, call for help, and then have to go in anyway. We also had issues with the loan officer for autos pushing hard for us to go with a specific auto sales person at a specific dealership. The pressure was non-stop and we already had a dealer we were working with. It was frustrating and it honestly felt like the loan officer was just trying to get a kickback from the person they were promoting. Over the years, the customer service also got ruder and ruder, not to mention incompetent. There were consistently mistakes, people didn't know their policies and gave us different answers to questions, they were insanely slow, etc. All of this got so bad that we left and found another local credit union, even after being with Generations for many years. It was the best thing we ever did! We now have easy, reliable online banking, mobile deposit, better loan options, friendlier people, ATMs, and more. You can't get any of that at Generation's Credit Union. Do yourself and find another credit union. I'm glad we did!

We just started a loan through the generation credit union. Most people grip about no atm or hold on checks. Come on people it's a credit union. Most credit unions have a 10 day hold on check especially if your a new customer to the bank. Would you give your money to someone who just wants to cash your check if you want that go to a bank. Friendly service! complete answers to your questions. I have been a member to three different credit unions one for over 20 years, so I hope to have a good experience with generation credit union. Thanks Linda

I've been a member here almost 40 (gasp!) years. They've always been family oriented, professional, helpful, knowledgeable and super friendly. Gotten several loans through them, including financing for a couple of cars. They've always treated me fairly and respectfully and I do all my banking here now. Wouldn't switch if you paid me. Well ... maybe then. 😉

Best Credit Union I have ever worked with; my grandmother has had an account since the 70s, and when I was a kid I was set up with an account too. If I need a loan of any type I go to Generations first.

Pretty angry right now. After several tries last year we finally managed to reamortize our solar panel loan. It only took a week of constant phone calls and emails. Now I just had to find out, it was never done, we're still making interest only payments, THEY NEVER GOT IT DONE, AND FAILED TO LET US KNOW!

No ATM or drive thru. No overdraft protection until you've had your account for 6 months. Holds checks fo r 7 business days before letting you cash it. This also applied to my paycheck so I couldn't use ny own money for o ver a week because the 7th day fell on a Saturday and they aren't open plus Moonday was a holuday, so no money until Tuesday. Couldn't buy food fo r my family or diapers because of their stupid policies.
