  Steven Valentine and Sharon were so fantastic to work with! I called around to several lenders before connecting with Steven and Gateway for a refinance. I was pretty particular about a couple of things and he made them happen, no problem! Everything went smoothly and quickly! Great communication through the entire process and an added benefit is that it’s a local company. I’d recommend Steven, Sharon, and Gateway Mortgage to all of my friends and family!

  Just like every other lender, so don't bother searching them out. I have sent my friends and family to them for years. I've had two mortgages with them and others I sent to gateway have had multiple based on my recommendation. That recommendation was predicated on Gateway assuring me that they do not sell the servicing rights to their loans. Well that is no longer true. My loan has been sold to another lender and I was informed, via letter, that my next payment should be sent to another lender and I no longer have any account with gateway. I had 15 days to sort it all out before my payment was due. I am utterly disappointed with Gateway. I chose them because they're based in Knoxville, I had a personal contact with my broker for any issues, and I wanted to avoid the headaches that brokers moving your loan can cause but they will treat your loan just like any other lender. I passed on lower rates from other companies just to get Gateway's service and now I've got a higher rate with a company based in the Midwest. My new recommendation is to shop for the lowest rate possible because Gateway is certainly not going to show you any loyaty and they're going to shop your mortgage once the paperwork is signed. Honestly one of the greatest disappointments I've experienced as a customer.

  I have referred many of my clients to Gateway and I have been blown away by their servicing. This team is unmatched. Quick, efficient, and honest. I have never seen a lender close a deal as quick as they do. Many of my clients have closed in 2 weeks. The customer service is exceptional. They are great with explaining things to my clients to make sure they feel comfortable with their biggest investment. My clients leave happy and satisfied. Chris and all of his team keep me informed at all times about my clients. I would highly recommend Gateway!!

  Selling my house to a highly qualified buyer who used GMG. 48 hours before closing, it was revealed that they had accidentally put down the wrong date. That happens. However, following that, they became exceptionally evasive to my agent and the buyers agent. They won't return phone calls to anyone. We can't even get them to set a closing date. So, I have moved my family out of our home and don't know when our closing will occur at all.

  I have known Chris Webb 20+ years and have always been impressed with how well Gateway services my clients. Their team is extremely fast with my client's files and try their best to make sure they have a smooth and easy experience. They cannot be beat on servicing, speed, accuracy etc. I could go on and on about how well they work with my clients and me as an agent.   I had an excellent experience with Gateway Mortgage Group for my first house purchase. Brad and Tiffany were always friendly and always on top of things for us. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a home loan in the Knoxville area. The website only charges a fee for one time payments. Automatic payments do not have a fee and I can also choose to pay more on the principal each month.

  Recently purchased my first home, and went with Gateway Mortgage at the advice of my Realtor...and I'm sure glad I did! Tammy was awesome, was always available to answer my questions. She made the process super easy! If you are not using Gateway you are buying a home the hard way.

  Deb Applegate and her team at Gateway Mortgage are amazing! We finally found our dream home and Dep went to work getting us the best deal that worked with our budget. We had a lot of questions along the way and Deb never made us feel like we were a bother; in fact, she was always a step ahead of our questions. Deb helped us figure out the loan details and gave us multiple options that made the process easy. We were selling our home and trying to time it just right so we would not have to rent another place while we waited to close on our new home. Deb and her team worked with us so we could close on both at the same time. I worry about every detail, and I know it can become overwhelming at times. Deb took charge and was in constant communication with us about every detail and what to expect next. Debs communication and timing were perfect, we could not have asked for anything better. I have heard horror stories about people working with loan officers and snags that come up and closing dates are off. I can tell you if you go with Deb and her team you are in great hands. When Deb tells you something is going to happen, it happens. Deb and her team made sure that things were moving as fast as they could and got us closed in 30 days, a lot faster than many people I know that are buying homes. Gateway Mortgage and Deb Applegate took great care of us. We found our dream home, worked with the best loan officer in the business and closed quickly. Deb made us feel like we were more than a piece of paper; she made us feel like her most important client every time we talked to her.
