I’m not a customer here but am not surprised at all to read such negative reviews about the customer service. Whoever is on such a power trip that they don’t have an ounce of grace to allow ONE young disabled person who wakes up every day not knowing if/how well they’re going to be able to walk, and requires the use of a walker when without assistance, to park in their parking lot (on the one day a week they don’t spend hours at medical appointments, no less) needs a huge, humbling reality check - to put it nicely. It’s tempting to become a customer just to be spiteful, but I’d feel worse about myself if I gave a single penny to an institution that practices such ableism and downright cruelty for a single parking spot in a lot that is near empty 99% of the time. I hope this individual, or individuals if it’s more than one employee, never faces a reality where they or their loved ones wake up and learn what it means to take their body and ability to move for granted. Disabled customers, beware; you may be treated nicely while giving them your money, although based on these reviews it’s doubtful, but I’d bet your bank account that you will be dehumanized as you struggle entering and exiting the bank. That’s just my disabled two cents so I guess it’s not worth much!

Customer satisfaction is Last on this bank's priorities. The bank manager doesn't pick up her phone. The policies in place are not helpful. For example, They have a policy to exchange foreign currency for their customers only, Ok I understand that, and I am a customer of theirs. However, if I can't leave work and I ask them to allow my wife to do the exchange for me, they said that its not possible. I offered all types of profs that she is my wife and even a check from their bank with my name on it. But to no avail. If you wanted to make my life easy, you would allow a person I am sending [my partner] to do the service for me. and not be so illogical. I will tell you what are the results of that action. You saved yourself nothing making your customers day longer that it should. and you lost my business and any future business of the people I know. Remember, this is a small town. Have a good day.

What happened to my wife and I at the hands of this bank was not right and can never be corrected. Although we suffered the most damage of the parties involved in the disaster that was supposed to be the sale of our home, I forgive those who brought it about, and hope it never happens to anyone else. I'm happy for those who have had a good experience at this bank. I lost 15k and a house being built. "Friendly" does not equate to "competent."

Very poor customer service, I would avoid this financial institution. To see this yourself, call the main number. You'll be greeted by a rude teller that has a customer, and be treated like you're an annoyance for calling in. Can they not afford a receptionist to take calls? If you need something past a basic transaction, good luck getting ahold of anyone. Phone calls and emails go unanswered for days at a time, and when someone does get back to you, they act as if it's a privilege and an honor to talk to them. There are several high quality and customer-focused credit unions in the area, there is no reason to do business with this institution.

The Mill street branch is staffed by some of the crabbiest people one can encounter. On every visit I encountered the tellers behaving rudely, rolling their eyes and acting as if I interrupted them from something more important. On several occasions I withdrew large sums of cash (multiple thousands) and was not asked for my ID or bank card despite them having to look me up based solely on my name. My wife even closed our accounts without being asked for identification. The fees we encountered were around 60% higher than where we now bank and there were fees for transferring between savings and checking with overdraft protection. Steer clear! There are much better options in town. The staff at other banks in the area are often friendly, kind, behave professionally and act their age.

I am trying to refinance our home. The company we are using to do this, has called and faxed FNB several times, to get a payoff amount, to no avail moving our closing date back, therefore causing us to pay more interest. I would sooner bury my money in the ground than use this bank, for anything!!!!!!!

All I can say is the staff has been extremely helpful during difficult times and they extend help to my grandparents to help them write checks or with other monetary issues. If you call customer service they also were helpful and removed several over draft fees for my grandparents also. Very nice local bank.

Extremely poor customer service. Long waits. Was bounced back and forth between two branches for opening an account. I have had bank accounts in 6 different banks in past 10 years and never witnessed such poor customer service and horrible in-branch banking experience.

I've been using this bank for 16 years now. Nothing but friendly, hometown-style service. As a small business owner, I can vouch for their institution. Sadly, it seems that people only write these reviews when there is a complaint. Come on locals! Chime in!
