FirstBank Reviews

madisonxwebb1When my dad and I went to set up our bank accounts we requested that if we had insufficient funds our cards would get declined, so we wouldn't have a $35 overdraft fee. We were both charged for checks and got an overdraft fee. When he went to the bank and explained what happened they too away his overdraft fee. They would not do the same for me even though we were on the same situation. I hate to post this because the people up there are very nice and helpful.

Jeffrey Hensen1Opened up a brand new bank account with this branch at First Bank after having a great experience with Josh Adams for our home mortgage. Thats as far as it goes. When sitting down with Donna to open a new account I was not informed the cost of checks associated with the new account. I made some initial deposits that had two week hold times and chose the dont draft over box. BEWARE to New Account Holders: they will charge for checks, tag you with a NSF fee if the funds aren't available, and will not contact you in regards to the error. They also did this to my daughter. However she made her first deposit a couple weeks later from her first job here in Paris. She was excited to finally get money into her account that started off with over $50 in negative charges from checks causing a $35 NSF fee. The account manager and bank manager would not waive the NSF fee which signifies a high level of greed and my daughter having a life education of what it means to have poor customer service. Small note: my daughter gave her information to Alex whom is very nice which allowed me to speak on her behalf. (When transfered 30 feet away to Donna) I was informed that I no longer was able to talk on behalf my daughters account... so I had to "put her and I on speaker". Classic avoidance issue.

Aundrea Diggs2Started off as a good bank, felt like a bank I could trust, but I kept asking them about my card and check book that I paid for was told 3 to 5 business days, well its been 11 days and they sent it to my old address that I haven't lived in forever even after signing papers for the new address I gave them! They make me feel uncomfortable and when I call to talk to them it's like they don't know anything at all nor even trying to help me gain an understanding! I wish I would've never chosen this bank! I'm going to BB&T today tired of the uncomfortable feeling and given the run around about my bank card and checkbook I paid money for! I thought local banks would be a great idea, but after this situation I'll pass and move my money and information to somewhere else! Will recommend no one who is in college to go here!

James Eichel1Been a loyal customer to this bank since 2013. Several accounts, multiple bank loans, and always a pretty decent chunk of money left with them. Well I officially have taken every penny out. The customer service is terrible, takes forever to get something done, and just seems like there’s “always something” going wrong. My last straw came the other day when I had an issue. I went to the Vice President, Andrea Lamb, for help and she decided to be rude instead of trying to help the situation. I frankly want no part of anybody that treats customers the way she did. I hope this fixes itself because it’s pretty disappointing.
