  Joe Sparks - Mortgage Lender - gets a 5 star rating and I have not personally gotten a mortgage with him. However, I have gotten to know him professionally and each of my referrals that I send his way have a great overall experience. He gets the best rates around and has excellent communication with his clients. 5 stars for Joe Sparks from First Western Bank & Trust.

  I have not had too much trouble except recently I had a very hard time getting into my online account. The other thing is if you need a new debit card for any reason it takes 10 days!! time getting into my online account.

  First Western holds the mortgage for my home as well as a piece of property for my wife and I. They were great to work with when going through both of those transactions. Joe S. has been a huge help and has been able to answer any questions I have in regards to the mortgage process. Darren helps with the land purchase and it was just great! I couldn't believe how easy it was. Definitely would recommend their services!

  Wish there were negative stars to give. I opened an account with black ridge bank (who were great to work with). As soon at first western took over they apparently have been charging my account without my acknowledgement or notification. They now charge “statement fees” and require you to have a minimum balance. They state that their policy is that they do not have to disclose these fees or changes! What a joke. They are just like Wells Fargo. Run far away from this bank. Bremer or US Bank are always willing to work with their clients in a professional manner. Missing BlackRidge and their great staff. Closed my account!

  We went through BlackRidge to finance our house as first time home buyers. Our Mortgage Loan Originator was Joe and he was fantastic. Very professional, very timely, and did a great job of explaining everything to us. I would 100% recommend looking at BlackRidge if you're buying a home, the process was as smooth as it gets for us.

  Polite, professional, and very helpful. Such a huge contrast from what I'm used to at Wells Fargo. I would recommend Black Ridge Bank to anyone looking for a better banking experience.

  I have been banking with BlackRidgeBank since 2007 when it was still branded as Lakewood Bank. The staff have always been professional with any inquiry for both my business account and personal accounts. Several of the staff have even helped me resolve issues via email communication.
