I am just not sure where the direction comes from, for this bank. I deposit funds, taking nothing out....it has to be approved everytime? Also, you go in for multi services with the same person and they require you to show your license twice?? The tellers spend most of time going to the manager getting my deposit approved or if you need cash or wire you have to wait forever. I feel bad for the employees, the shareholders should really review the processes of this bank. The one thing that has improved is the website and the accessibility.

2nd time this happened among other inconveniences. Wrote a check for $50,000. To buy a boat. I left town. While traveling back to kw first state called to verify the check. They said the signature card from 30 years again did not look enough like this signature. Luckily I was able to get there before closing. Other wise they would have refused the check. We all know the trickle down from a refused check. SO DO THEY!I asked them to print the last 5 checks and that one. The signatures almost identical. Obviously mine. Why did they cash those other checks? Some over $5000.00 Verify it with a 30 year old signature. Good work Sherlock! Next time you see me will be to close my account. Three strikes you’re out.

This bank holds everything you deposit for lengths of time that are completely unreasonable. For example I deposited my own check from another account for 10k, it came out of that account the next day, the funds were unavailable for 14 days. When you go in to talk to the branch manager, Maria, she acts like she is doing you a favor but talks down to you like a child. She quotes banking practices that archaic, that I haven’t seen in 10 years. I wish they were a good community bank but they slow everything down to a point that my business will fall behind in today’s marketplace if I have to play by these old antiquated systems.

Know a number of people, including myself, who have been screwed over/ripped off by this bank. Mainly it was being charged fees for someone else's paperwork error...a sneaky way to rip off a customer. I closed my account after having this nonsense happen to me. The worst was learning from a coworker how, some years ago, a significant sum of his money ($30,000!!!) was "lost" by First State Bank during a wire transfer from another bank and state. First State claimed they never received the funds, yet the bank that sent it insisted the transfer was completed normally. He had receipts from original bank. My coworker got the run around by First State and never was able to recover his funds. Because the bank had stolen all of his money, he couldn't afford an attorney to fight it. I was sick hearing this. Key West is full of non-stop crooked happenings, but that's over the top. Beware of this bank, do not trust them & watch your account!!

Had my money here 3 days. Went to close my account unhappy with the people and services not provided, and they charged me $25 for closing my account. So pretty much I just paid for the inconvenience of using this bank.

Terrible customer service. Pick any of the other banks, they won’t rob you.
