First National Bank Reviews

Tim S5I've banked with First National for a few years now and my experiences have been positive. Mike Nixon in the Camp Hill branch has worked with me and is always helpful.

Death By Reindeer1Their customer service across the entire company is abysmal. Even just getting to talk to someone over the phone is a challenge. They couldn’t take a payment over the phone. There is no way to do many important banking actions online or over the phone. they insist on you coming into the physical location and have made no real changes for the pandemic. Their overdraft policies are bad. fnb denied me a credit card, said they would mail me the reason why and I never got anything. It took way longer than it should have to close my account, this location was particularly unhelpful. They also got rid of their coin machine. The entire reason I opened an account here (before it was fnb) was because it had a coin machine and was close. The company seems to intentionally make it difficult to talk to anyone. Many of their phone numbers dont work. There are no emails available to get in contact with anyone on their website. The app is clunky and poorly made. The website does not hold up to other banks. There is no reason to go to this location or any fnb location.

JT M1I was an account holder at one of the banks that FNB took over (Parkvale) for about 20 years -- when FNB bought the bank, I looked forward to continuing my financial relationship. Instead, the service at each greater-Harrisburg branch seemed to get worse and worse. I've also been a member at one of the large, local credit unions and have taken out 2 mortgages with them. Folks there smile at customers, seem to enjoy helping customers and seem to appreciate their jobs. FNB must be a terrible place to work because the people there are so unfriendly. An interesting aside is that this branch didn't count out cash that was withdrawn at the counter. I asked them about it and they said that they do count it out -- behind the counter where the customer can't see it. Customer service is what differentiates one bank or credit union from another and I am very happy to have closed my FNB accounts. I think most people would do well to look elsewhere for their banking needs.

Harry Bostdorf1Unfortunately this place has gone down so much since FNB took over. Our loan officer Ross Hamilton took advantage of us and lied for his own selfish benefits. Do not trust anyone here.

Marc Moure1Stay away from this bank. Customer service sucks they are not about their customer. Mike is the worse manager I’ve ever spoke with.
