  Do not bank here if you work for tips and make cash deposits. I had been banking with First Interstate for 4 years and also did our business banking with them, consistently making cash deposits and answering all questions appropriately. I received a letter in the mail notifying me that my accounts would be closed in a month with no explanation but a pamphlet filled with legal jargon that is almost undecipherable to real people. I called the phone number on the letter and it went to voicemail. I called two local branches with no answer before talking to someone who directed me to another phone number that led me to a directory that wasn't relevant to my query. First Interstate can't give me a call and tell me why they're closing my accounts or give me a clear explanation in their letter after four years? Local bank for Montanans? Not a chance.

  Just started my business with First Interstate Bank. So far a great experience. I also have to say their phone app is great, it's intuitive and highly functional. Hoping for a great long term relationship with these guys.

  I have banked on and off here for 18 years. This is not about not having money in my account. They have added all kinds of new fees that I dont see at all the good banks still around. Like if you deposit a check from anyone (which I have never deposited one that doesnt clear) and you spend that some of thatmoney out of your account without 24 hours passing they charge you a 30 dollar fee. I am not talking about overrdrafts, simply a fee in 2018 for having to wait for that check to clear. I bank at another bank that I can deposit a check by phone and take the money out that second. I also have a debit card from First Interstate that won't work in their own atm but works in everyone else's. I have brought this up and they have told me I would get a new one but have never seen one. So I have paid a fair amount of ATM fees for not being able to use their debit card in their atm. Some of the people are great but their training and policies stink.

  Great service from a friendly staff. The android app is very good for mobile banking. I just wish the downtown branch was open on Saturday too.

  Super friendly staff, great location, the coffee is good, and when you open an account they walk you threw everything. The mobile app is magical~

  Very helpful, great service, they dont charge you crazy fees if you accidentally overdraw your account as long as you take care of it in a couple days.

  Super friendly staff and a cool area to wait for service. I always fell accomaidated when I come here. Also the drive though is great.

  Horrible bank retaliated and purposely reported false information they are now in a federal lawsuit me vs. them. Avoid these predators.
