  My wife used First Home Mortgage before and had a great experience, therefore we decided to use them again to purchase our home together. They never acknowledged that we were married and that the loan was in both our names. They neglected several times to add my name to paper work unless reminded. My name was always added at the bottom of an added page. When addressing questions, dates, concerns etc they constantly called and/or emailed my wife. We could never get it touch with Ryan (who gave us the most run arounds) the agency requested duplicate information to by themselves time. It was a frustrating and unforgettable experience. Last, after all was finalized they mailed a gift of seeds to our new home addressed to just my wife. TOPPER!

  Ryan Paquin is a top notch mortgage broker who can answer all your questions and really make things happen. This guy is 'on' and will work hard to help you get what you need for a mortgage while making you understand what you are getting. His team is phenomenal too. Haven't met a better lender during my home purchase, always available and always has the right answer. You will not regret reaching out to him but you may regret not!

  I remember being a first home buyer and how scared I was of the whole process but within 5 minutes of being on the phone with Ryan all my fears had gone away. He was very professional and explained all the details of the process, the interest rates and loan types and what my next steps were. Once we got the ball rolling, Heather assisted me with my next steps in the process and made sure I met all of the deadlines to lock in a rate and go to closing without any delays.   NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER get a loan from this company! NEEEEVVVVERRR. I can't stress this enough. My fiance and I have been in the process of buying our first home in Bowie MD since November 2012. We began utilizing this company's loan service in January 2013 when we put in a contract for a house. We were warned there would be a lot of paperwork but when you send the same information in 3+ times for the same contract, it's a bit irritating to say the least. They also managed to send a lot of our personal identification information to an email that WASN'T our realtor, which might lead to identity theft later on because they didn't verify e-mail addresses. We also got screwed on what money we had available for settlement because the loan company told us to deposit gift money and after 60 days it would be good for settlement but it became questionable and not valid as settlement money (without that gift money we didn't have the necessary money to settle and had to scrounge for funds). Selling techniques include evasiveness, hesitations, and very little to no communication whatsoever. Loaners beware with this company.
