Firemen's Federal Credit Union Reviews

Michael Geissler1I called on the 13th to pay my credit card balance, I was told it processed and hung up. Apparentky my card card wasn't processed right.. they said they called me back which I don't have any calls from them.. they had notes that they called my wife on 28th and was told it wasn't paid.. I told the rude lady on the phone that we called 3 days in a row and our calls were not returned. (They hold your place in line and call you back.. not) I was told there was $10 processing fee for paying over the phine and late fees. I told her I wanted to talk to a manager.. she asked me rudely if I was going to pay the balance 1st. I told her I wanted to talk to a manager about it.. she said you know what.. "your bill is 30 days late, I'm sending you to collections." I was sent collections apparently out of spite, despite having thought I paid my bill on the 13th. I guess they only make one attempt to call as well. This place has been incredibly unprofessional, rude, outdated, and not easy to work with. Seem like the right place to bank being a fireman.. boy was I wrong. I will never support this company and will definately drop my accounts as soon as my card is paid off. I cannot believe how disrespectful and rude that lady was on the phone today.

Hippa Bear1I have been banking with them for years. I love the Metairie location. This particular location in Slidell, the customer service is horrible. I was not greeted upon arrival and as I was putting the tube back in, the window came down on me making the tube jammed, which means that my hand could have been closed in there; I didn't even get an apology.

Carlos John1Worst customer service!! Great bank but if you have any issue after 3:30pm. You will literally get no help. At all. I have to stress this. You will get no help with your money if it’s after 3:30PM Monday - Friday

Hayden Martin1Worst bank has to go to Firemens Federal Credit Union. I am now in -122 overdraft after I took every thing out of my account to switch over. I was told and reassured that even though everything was pending, I would not go into overdraft. I was told this but not only 1 person but another person. Please guys please DO NOT BANK WITH THEM!!!! I have had the worst experiences with them.

Courtney Dee2Co-op bankers beware, they screw up your account more often than not! Our daughter is going to miss the parade now because we've been stuck here over 30 minutes trying to deposit a check and it seems like they don't even know how to fix it! An absolute joke. ONLY reason I'm giving 2 stars is the older blonde lady that never messes it up for us.

Michelle Dunn1DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE RIP OFF PEOPLE!!!!!! If I could give them no stars that would be accurate. Got a boat loan from them, paid every month via automatic draft. Due to a tiny lapse of a week in insurance coverage, they charged us a huge late fee and forced insurance coverage. We rectified the insurance with proof but they still keep the late fee and tagged it onto our boat loan. We tried 6 times to call and ask why there's a fee, no one could answer us. They kept saying everything is fine. Now that we've paid off the loan they won't release our title saying we owe $600.00 in late fees. That's 2 extra boat payments!!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!!!!

Teran Sayre1Worst customer service!!! wasn't even greeted at the drive through... Nor did they explain why their process changed from the other week to this week! Will be changing banks soon. Disappointed to have been with them so long and not get better customer service.

Jenny Seacrest4I have 2 car loans with them. They have been awesome. And I have a personal loan. They have helped my family whenever we need it. My only complaint is that it take longer than I like to get the loans done.

BFam Clarkson5I have been with NOFCU since April 2018, I have no complaints at all, I have been approved for every loan I have applied for. All the staff at the Slidell location are quick and friendly. I will be here for years to come
