  Michael Vasallo at Financial Equities, gives big promises in the loan application process, however once the process starts and time comes to lock rate and closing arrives, he would be not reachable via phone/email. He will provide a high interest rate and obligate to buy down discount points. Will not entertain market fluctuation of change 0.25%, previously promised. Mandates to sign back dated document at closing or cannot close. There is no alternate manager or contact at Financial Equities who can help. No one at closing department or any departments at Financial Equities will respond, unless they need documents from the applicant. In any case the loan will be sold to a large bank or financial institution before 1st loan payment. Horrible experience, not recommended. Waste of Time and efforts, very stressful.

  I had the pleasure of working w/Nicole Vargas re: the purchase of my NOW two bedroom Condo. Nicole was NOT ONLY Professional and always responsive but thoughtful! This goes a LONG way when you are going thru the process of credit reports and more credit reports. Lets face it, Its painful! But when Nicole called, it didn’t feel that way.   Couldn't be happier with Steve and the Financial Equities team. I was very nervous as a first time buyer, but he truly understood where I was coming from.   I had a wonderful experience working with the Financial Equities team. Steve was incredibly helpful and responsive. I originally had a hard time coming up with a reasonable budget, but Steve was patient with me and assisted tremendously. He was a great help in getting me approved for my first home purchase. I have heard stories of how long and frustrating this whole process could be, so I could not be happier with how professional and easy the Financial Equities made this experience.

  One of the worst consumer experiences I’ve ever had. I trusted Tom Marino who was aware that this was my first time purchasing a home. Tom initially was very helpful but it was only so he could take advantage of me. Once I sign my mortgage commitment that’s when everything changed and when I went to try and lock in my loan he stalled and ignored me for 12 days before locking me in at a much higher rate. Also forced me to pay $2000 commitment fee which apparently was unheard of. I did get the money back at closing. STAY AWAY!!!!

  We had the pleasure to work with Shannon at Financial Equities while purchasing our home. Shannon walked us through every step of the process and the team at Financial Equities was willing and patient with each and every question we had. They certainly made the process as easy as possible even though we were not in NY but in CT. They certainly all navigated through the local rules to get us closed as easy as possible. Our particular home buying situation was not of the "norm", but that did not stop him from giving 100%. He always made sure to keep us up to date, send us information, and most importantly made sure we knew what was going on every step of the way. Mario works fast and efficient.   As first time home-buyers, my husband and I needed a lot of hand holding during the mortgage process. Mario Corleto of Financial Equities went through the entire mortgage application line by line with us and gave us clear examples of what everything meant. He provided us with helpful tips to save money now and even gave us great advice that will save us thousands over the life of our loan. Mario is very knowledgeable, experienced, and helpful. Whenever I had a question (and I had many), I would email Mario and he would respond promptly with helpful answers. His customer service is like none other. We appreciate that he was able to come to our closing to see it through and personally congratulate us.
