  If I could do less than one star I would. Exeter Finance is the epitome of predatory financing. The interest is compounded daily, and they will not refinance. I was told at the dealership that after one year we would be able to refinance because of my sticker shock on monthly payment, but I can’t and now we are $12k upside down in a loan that is $531 a month at 24% interest. Learn from my lack of research-and don’t be as desperate as we were for financing. 10 months of payments and we owe more than we financed. Do your homework, don’t be like me.

  If we could give a ZERO star review we would. Horrible lender HIGHLY recommend you stay away from these people. They will mess up your reports, ridiculous interest rates and HORRIBLE customer service. It is basically non-existent. Stay away from this company at all costs.

  On April 26th a checked cleared our bank with a large over payment made to exeter. We were continually lied to and ignored. Even told the check "returned" and we had evidence it did not. As of May 13th we are owed $27250 and keep being put off. At this point it is negligence and theft!

  Purchased car August 2012 it's November 2018. Each Rep tell me something different. I've been told I've made 65 payments out of 72, I've bern told I've made 64 out of 72 and so on. Payment $483... They are saying I owe $8000. When my final payment should've been September 29, 2018

  These last couple of months have been a struggle trying to keep steady income , my grandparents have an account with Exeter and due to COV-19 . They been out of work . My grandfather spoke with a representative about his account asking can he have an extension or if they was doing anything to help customers whose not working . The representative told him no there’s nothing she couldn’t do , i understand the collection part, but I’m pretty sure there’s more customers that’s going through the same thing

  This review is only on the professionalism of the representative I talked with. I had so many questions about payoff amounts, interest rates and how they work. I didn't understand per diem ( per day) at all. She never got frustrated with me and was very patient and kind. Her name is Shanique. Great job. Not only did she take time and explain everything to me ,but she didn't make me feel silly for asking or rushed.

  Never missed a payment in 3 years. Ran into some financial issues and called for an extension 2 weeks before my due date. Was told since my account wasn't in late status that I didn't qualify for it and that I still had time to gather the money. What happened to working with a customer?

  My spouse financed a truck with Exeter, made payments for a year. Went to renew tag and couldn't because Exeter put a lien on it. So stupid!!! Why would you do that??!!! NEVER EVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE WITH ANY OTHER FINANCE COMPANY. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND EXETER TO ANYONE!!!!!

  Interest rates are too high but that is to be expected. I have always had very porsitive interactions with the CSRs at Exeter. Remember that thier job is to deal with people who have trouble or just dont like paying thiier bills. Consider the source when reading these negative reviews. These are good oeople.

  After paying my monthly payment in full within the 10days required I was still charged a late fee. Called and spoke with a representative about this issue and he put me on hold numerous times to “review my account” and acted as if I had no clue what I was talking about and did not provide me with an explanation or resolution for the overcharge issue.
