Mike Lingner5I have been a member since 1991 and have never had an issue with any employee of ECFCU. In particular, both Linda and Barbara will greet and treat you like family. Their ability to remember names that they may only see a few times a year is impressive. And though they are not a big establishment they also don't have all the fees either. Home town courtesy keeps me here.

Dave Sacerdote5Love being able to do business with a financial institution which offers so many great services. When my former local bank got swallowed up in a merger and stopped caring about their smaller customers, I moved everything over to the credit union and never looked back. Enfield Federal offers all the services of the big guys, but with a personal touch that only a community credit union can offer. They're the best.

Gladys Bowen5I've had a loan in the past that I took out for my son's car that has since been paid off. The people at this bank are so great that they even called me let me know when he (my son) hadn't made a payment before it would show up on my credit report. This bank is a blessing to the Enfield Community. I highly recommend it. I'm so glad they are there. Even if you don't have the best credit which I didn't have at the time but now I have excellent credit. Thanks for giving me a chance!

Michelle Alan1My experience with this credit union is extremely negative. I have never gone through the process of trying to get a car loan where they ask as many invasive questions as this place did. Normally, you submit your information and they come back with a yes or a no. This was a long drawn out process where both my husband and I were basically chastised by the loan officer for several things negative items on our credit report. Then, he said they could give us X amount, but if we used our owned car as collateral they could increase it by Y amount, but neither amount equaled the amount needed for the car. I'm not stupid enough to think our credit is stellar, but only a year ago we were approved for a larger car loan at another bank with our credit in the same condition it is now at only 8% (which has since been paid off within the past year). For the smaller amount the credit union would've given us, that wasn't going to cover the cost of the car, they were going to charge 17.5% interest. What crazy person would take this loan?? And, for the loan officer to make it sound like it was a giant favor and that it was the best we were going to get, how incredibly rude! I do not believe this credit union is very client-friendly. Besides falling behind on our student loans (which a large portion of the population is in that SAME position) we have NO late payments on our bills and everything else is paid appropriately. You would think that by taking that into account there would be a little more room to make exceptions or allowances. I would not recommend this credit to anyone. News flash: not everyone has perfect credit, but sometimes those people still pay their bills on time and without incident. Not a good experience!! I'll gladly pay a larger bank and bring my business elsewhere.

Cassie Woike1Dennis is the rudest, most misogynistic piece of human waste I have ever had the displeasure of speaking to. No. We did not get denied a loan. But I will not do business with someone as disrespectful as him. Disgusting. And whoever answered the phone when I tried to make a complaint, and called me stupid, I do not feel bad at all for the barrage of insults to leave my mouth. Also, they take forever to get back to anyone, which is just plain tacky.

Heidi Torres1Not a good experience over the phone regarding a car loan. Called & went to Dutch Point Credit Union in Wethersfield and it was a much more pleasant experience.
