  Bank is trash, nothing but problems every time I come here. Not only did they close out my credit account without telling me, which hit my credit score since it was a long time open account, but I was negative for a month during maternity leave, and they closed out my account fully as well, without telling me

  DO NOT GET A HOME LOAN WITH THIS BANK. I HAVE MADE FIVE ATTEMPTS TO GET MY LOAN CURRENT AND UP TO DATE SINCE MY FOREBEARANCE WHICH ENDED IN APRIL AND HAVE GOTTEN NO HELP WHAT SO EVER. THE MANAGER SAYS THEY WILL CALL YOU BACK WITHIN 24-72 HOURS. WHAT A JOKE. BEWARE! 2.7.22- so her I am in February, stil problems with my mortgage. They can't even set up an autodraft. I am telling everyone to beware! I have had many mortgage in in my past life and yet, I can't believe how many hours I have spend trying to set up a autodaft payments and all the customer services tell me is all set on four separate occasions. Not done and they put me into default again. Worst bank ever.

  I am only giving 1 star because giving -5 stars isn't possible. Larry King told me he had me approved for some sort of homebuyer program where I was going to get $15,000 toward my downpayment and closing costs and I was approved; basically all good news and everything you could ever want to hear. Until, of course, the day of inspection, where he said all my funds were gone and he couldn't approve me, and blah, blah, blah. This credit union and their employees have no idea what they're doing and are first rate screw ups. A lawsuit is forthcoming.

  Amazing staff! Genuinely courteous, pleasant & professional. I went in to the branch to update some personal info & was treated very respectfully. The person who helped me was newer but was able to answer all of my questions & efficiently sought clarification if they were unsure. Just a very positive experience that could have gone negatively at a mainstream bank. Thank you!

  Not a positive experience inside the branch. Went in with Debit card and ID to deposit a paycheck and was told I was not allowed too because the Banker did not recognize me and I had not been in lately. I understand security is a priority and value that. However, not recognizing someone as a local and being hassled to deposit money into an account seems excessive.Banker claimed it could be fraudulent- that I was trying to deposit into my own account? I have a great loan product through this bank but I am grateful I applied through the car dealer not in the branch as this was an unpleasant experience to say the least. Drive up ATM it is from now on in!

  I have been a member since 1969. The Credit Union has always been there for me with great rates, friendly and professional people, and convenient hours and locations. I have a very high degree of trust in them, they have never let me down.

  I've been doing business with American Eagle Financial Credit Union for over six years; I can tell you that all of the staff is trustworthy, very friendly, very assistive and absolutely efficient. Although I've been unemployed for over a year, AEFCU continues to work with me to ensure my financial needs are met - even removing an overdraft fee on two occasions. I clearly sense the appreciation that AEFCU has for me, just one of its many members. I love American Eagle Federal Credit Union for it's great staff, many locations and many ATM's availability. And I especially love their "deposit check by phone". Opening a checking account and obtaining a secured credit loan was fast and simple; having a checking account is cost effective and makes getting things done so much easier; getting my secured loan for the car I needed was a saving grace! Primarily I've done the most business with AEFCU at Enfield, Southington and East Hartford respectively. Doing business with AEFCU is always a delight!

  After not having a loan for more than 20 twenty years was finally in a position to apply for a loan. I applied for Personal loan of thousand dollars with no problems, then I decided to check into a car loan from AEFCU. 6.25% for 6 years was the best they had to offer based on the application, I applied for a loan thru a Hyundai dealer financed by their corperate sponser and got 4.25% for 6 yrs. It pays to shop around !!

  Every time I have any interactions with American eagle and their staff it's been extremely helpful and pleasant. I wouldn't go any where else for my banking needs

  I have been a member of American Eagle when they were only in East Hartford across from P&WA I now use Enfield branch most of the time.
