  I work night shift, lately whenever I get to the bank after 5:30, I go to use rhe drive thru and they are closed before 6, when the website clearly says that the drive thru closes at six. Why is the drive thru closed before closing time? When am I supposed to cash my check? Very inconvenient considering switching banks.

  Usually I get great service at empower, what happened October 4? I was put on hold to make a money transfer and stayed on hold for hours. I made 3 calls at different times in the afternoon stayed on hold for well over half hour to hour each time.

  So I opened an account as a new customer and this lady named Alisha messed it up and now I’m locked out of my account and can’t deposit money or take any out. So disappointed, I will be looking for another bank. BEWARE of Alisha, she will mess up your account!!

  This bank does give some very good rates on loans. The staff is always friendly and are patient when it comes to hard to deal with customers.

  Opened a small business account. Before I could even activate the debit cards, somebody tried using the account number and routing number to purchase things on the internet. They first two times they got the $100 I opened account with. They tried 20 more times to buy things but there was no money left. But each of those 20 times, Empower charged me $25. I had NO IDEA. Empower NEVER contracted me. A month later I get a letter in the mail, not from Empower, but from a collection agency! I went down to the bank, had to pay the $500 dollars in fees to Empower. They never called, never sent a letter, NOTHING to alert me my account which I had not even started using. They just sent it to collections. I paid the $500 and closed my account. Empower is run by incompetent people at best, cheating scumbags at worst. No communication. Stay far away. Pathfinder, M&T never caused me problems like this. Expensive lesson. Stay away from empower!

  So my ex and I had a joint account together and my ex took out a loan after him and I split while I was in FL which caused the bank to red flag me so I can't open a checking account in my state. Mind you I was unaware of the loan they gave my ex until I tried to open a checking account at bank first last year.so I called Empower to get the details of the loan and they refused to tell me but then said I would have to pay them $680.00 . Now their reason is that my ex filed for the loan ,he got the loan but because he used our joint account which I had no access to empower says I have to pay them... Not going to happen they didn't give me a loan not is my signature on the loan application so I may be getting a lawyer for this.

  Had someone pass away this credit Union keeps taking the deseased money keeps giving us the run around, adds insurance to their bill. Watch out Shady stuff happens here and they don’t have any empathy. Wait till it happens to them personally Karma

  I had a car loan from Empower and they repossessed my vehicle claiming that i hadn't made a payment since June of this year and i had every receipt from when i went to the bank and deposited 200 dollars cash each month but their computers say i hadn't paid since June

  Great drive throu. Ladys are very helpful at the teller. Fastish service neat and clean place of buisness.
