I’ve banked with EECU since 2005, never had any issues, if i ever had a concern it was addressed. I just wish they’d expand and branch out toward Cleburne. Especially since i moved way south, but i continue to bank with them because I’m established and the online service is just as good and convenient as in person services.

Spent THREE hours (40 minutes drive time included) to open a savings account. Stood in line for 20 minutes to cash a check. About 4 or 5 customers gave up and walked out. Was told the system was either Slow, Lag time or Down. Not a good first time at this location. Been an EECU customer for 25 yrs. Never did get the account opened.

      Response from the owner

Hi Kenneth, I apologize for the issues today. We did experience some system problems earlier in the day. If you would like to send your contact information to [email protected] we can open the account online for you? We appreciate your business.

WORST customer service ever. It was A LOT easier and quicker when you could call and actually speak to a live person from the branch. I tried the web chat and they told me to go into the lobby because it’s open. So we went on a Saturday, since they are only open 9-5 weekdays, same as us normal working people. Then you get there. The doors are locked. They just sit there ignoring you. Tell you to call and make an appt. We called. The only appointment is days away, but I can clearly see the man inside looking bored at his desk. That’s not customer service. Then I called to get my name corrected on the new card they just mailed. I was on the phone for 54 minutes, spoke to 3 automative services and 4 different people and put on hold for probably 30 minutes. That’s not customer service. Don’t even get me started on the web chat. Useless. They tell you what to do to help, but then you go to the bank they tell you they have no idea what you’re talking about, they don’t save these chats. So you gotten do everything over again. SUCH A WASTE OF TIME. The WORST service EVER. If you’re scared of COVID, invest in some plexy glass and gloves and mask masks!! Don’t just sit at your desk ignoring people who need to speak to live people because your chats and phones suck and don’t help anyone. COVID isn’t going away, get used to it. Do better. Most other services risk it to help their customers in need. Why can’t y’all?! Stupid!

      Response from the owner

Hi Elisa! I do apologize for the longer hold times and the issues at the branch. Can you please send me your contact information to [email protected]? We would like to speak to you further. Thank you!

After speaking with the branch manager, Tiffany, I have decided to change my review. We were shopping around for a debt-consolidation loan and had heard about EECU, so we put in an application to see what they could offer us. Yesterday, my husband spoke to someone on the phone from EECU that went over the terms of the loan with him because the application was in his name. I am the one that handles all of the finances, so I had a few questions and wanted to talk to the person he was speaking with. She would not let me talk to her because my name was not on the application. I was upset and left a pretty bad review on here. After speaking with the branch manager (Tiffany) today I feel much better. With my husbands consent I was able to speak with Tiffany and understand the terms of the loan that was being offered to us. It was important to me that both my husband and I fully understood the terms of the loan, so together we could make a decision that would be in our best interest. Tiffany helped me understand why the person my husband was speaking with would not let me hear the terms of the loan over the phone. Since they do not have anything to verify I am who I say I am, they could not release the information to me. It makes a little more sense now why she wanted to pull my credit report, so I could hear the terms. The credit report shows more than just your credit history, it shows other information, like past addresses and other pertinent information. Tiffany was very personable and friendly. And, I enjoyed speaking with her. She was very professional about this situation and treated me with the upmost respect. I recommend EECU for any of your banking/financing needs.

      Response from the owner

Thank you Amber! I am glad Tiffany was able to help you Please let me know if we can be of further assistance.

Went to the branch on Alsbury to get documents notarized. I waited 15-20 minutes just for the lady to tell me she won’t notarize my documents. I’ve always gotten documents notarized at this branch and other EECU branches in the area - the same documents actually. She stated that they aren’t allowed to notarize “legal documents”, but if she would’ve taken the time to read the documents she’d know that they weren’t even legal documents.. Mind you, I’ve gotten the same exact documents notarized at this very branch on Alsbury multiple times before, the most recent time being 30 days ago. Worst service ever..

      Response from the owner

My wife and I have been there three times in the last month and the ATM outside will not dispense cash. The tellers inside just say that the ATM is out of money. THIS IS WHAT BANKS DO, THEY HAVE MONEY! You have 1 job, to have money! And the tellers act like it is a normal thing that the ATM is out of money. I could go on and on about how terrible they are with loan processing, but the main job of having a ATM is to have an ATM that works. Worst bank I have every been involved with.

The only thing I can't understand is why when a person has been making payments on a car for 3 and a half years and never missed a payment or late on one they want make that person a loan again because they say they don't make enough money and yet they make more money now than they did when they got the first loan. Everyone at the bank is really nice and friendly. I just wish I knew why they think people on fixed income can't afford to make monthly payments when they proved that they can .

The bank has great loan rates and service in person but they have by far the worst phone system of anywhere I have had to call. You can not get through to a person only the automated message that leads you in circles. You spend far more time navigating the options than anything that you need assistance with would take.

      Response from the owner

Hi Dustin! I apologize for the issues with the phone system. We are working on making improvements! We appreciate your feedback.
