  Worse experience with Ditech. First time homebuyer and received a discrepancy per the escrow analysis. It basically said my monthly payment would go up substantially if I didn’t pay $3,000 within the next 2 months. I called several times, emailed and even used the chat option to fixed this issue since I just purchased my home. No one could answer my questions and kept giving me the run around. No one cared about finding a solution. The worse thing is when I tried to stay on the line to complete a survey, the reps wouldn’t hang up to allow me to do so. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!

  These people are so horrible and unprofessional. My first encounter with them is when i moved into my house. I’m a service member of the united satiates navy and I’m not always home to check on my bills which is why i have auto bill pay. For about a year i noticed that i was not paying enough escrow keep in mind i was 24 at the time and i was a first time home owner. I called ditech to ask them if i should be paying more for escrow and they said i was fine multiple times. About a year and a half later they raised my mortgage from 1200 to 2300 a month which was not doable for me. I tried to ask for help and they refused to help called multiple time and finally one person didn’t have the nerve to tel me I’m screwed. They adjusted it over 36 months and lowered it to 1900 which is still pushing it. I’ve been doing fine for the next year and then again i get another bill of 2100. They ran a escrow analysis without asking me. So i had to pay the price again, i immediately called them and asked them to readjust it again so i wouldn’t have to pay it the next month. Here we are a month later and it still has not been taken care of. I just got off the phone with a agent and she was able to fix it on call but “unfortunately” I’m screwed because somebody did not do their damn job last month and i have to pay the price of 2100 this month. These guys are scam artist and thieves. At the end of the day all this happen because someone didn’t do their job which seems to happen a lot at this company. While I’m out going on deployment serving my country i come back home and get screwed by my mortgage company cause they can’t do their job.

  Shame can't leave ZERO STAR had our house damaged from Texas hail storm, they where very helpful helping us send the insurance check to them, Lied and said they would sign and mail back, they kept 5% of the money now i'm getting the run around trying to get it back, every time I call they tell me a different story, need pictures need more estimates, need letter from ins co, or roofing co, need city inspector report. roof fixed weeks ago still have not gotten my money back.......

  If I could give less than 1 star, I would. This is the most infuriating company I have ever had to deal with, and I get to deal with them on TWO accounts. Our 2nd account through them is for my mother's house. My mother passed away in 2007, over 10 years ago. I have been making the mortgage payments since she died. When she died the mortgage was through a different company and they sold the paper to Ditech. The mortgage is still in my mothers name. I have notified Ditech numerous times. They refuse to speak to me because I am not authorized on the account, but they don't have a problem cashing my check. I sent them her death certificate and her will. I am an only child and we did not have to go through probate. Ditech will not accept her death certificate or or will. They are insisting that I get an Executor of Estate form from a probate attorney. Oh, and they decided to escrow taxes without notifying us either. That caused the mortgage payment to double and then we got behind because I was unaware that the payment doubled. (The taxes had been paid by me.) They have also screwed up our home mortgage... that's a story for another day... Stay away from DiTech.

  Greedy scam artists. We tried for months to get onto a bi-weekly payment plan, and they lost our paperwork half a dozen times. They're not incentivized to help you - they make money by losing your paperwork since you pay less money. Same issue when I needed to pay for a roof - they would not sign off on the insurance payment until they got an inspection, and they lost the paperwork on this multiple times - including a check we needed to get re-issued and the adjustor estimate that they couldn't find for weeks. If I had more energy left after dealing with them, I'd start a case with the BBB.

  These incompetent people could not give me accurate payment information for almost three years. I would have a shortage and then they would lower my payment. As if I was going to believe that. They are unethical. In my most recent experience with them, they refused to give my new lender a payoff amount. Wow. I am sooooooooooo happy your abusive practices have led to bankrupty. Good riddance. And, for you haters, I never agreed to a damn thing with these abhorrent folks. CountryWide (also good riddance) sold me.

  Fraud company. They withdraw money days before due date. Will add auto extra payment & for cancelation charge you. Worst ever customer service. To fail you on loan they are the best. Avoid this mortgage scam. I am victim.

  My husband and I were previously working with another lender to obtain a home loan to purchase our first home. Needless to say we were completely dissatisfied and decided to change lenders. My mother, who we are purchasing my childhood home from, recommended her current lender, Ditech. The agent that we have been working with at Ditech has been very helpful, and provided us with some much needed information that our previous lender neglected to tell us about. Despite the all of the stuff any home buyer has to go through when purchasing any home, this lender will ultimately be saving us money, which is something that is very much appreciated. since we are walking into the home with equity, and are purchasing the home from my mother, we are able to use a gift of equity to help cover the costs of closing, and down payments. Our loan officer, Justin Harwell, seems to be very knowledgeable, helpful and understanding. Thank you for your service thus far, and in the future.

  Hold times are unbelievable... hold insurance claim funds as if they own more of MY house than I do. Make you jump through hoops to get your own insurance money. I do NOT recommend this company at all. They are pathetic!! Run, run far away from this mortgage company!!

  Is it just me it seems like i get charged a double late fee I am sometimes a week late and i add the late fee to my payment and the next month i still get charged a late fee when I asked them about it they never give me a straight answer . They say it some how do not count they even charged me a late fee from six months ago they said the computer fogot to charge me. I know i am not crazy Are other people having the same issue.
