      They have good rates, hence the 2 stars, but customer service for the entire organization is horrible. I wish I never had to do banking to avoid it all costs. Average wait time for a call is 4.5 hours (that's if they even call you back) and I have waited 90 minutes in person for help as well. I let the teller know my frustrations and she told me the customer service reps do not know how to do their job. That is not an appropriate response. DO NOT JOIN THIS BANK UNLESS YOU LIVE CLOSE ENOUGH TO THE BRANCH anytime you need customer service.

      Location: Waltham MA … So I walked into this bank today open an account and literally within minutes I witnessed a clearly agitated employee with a heavy Arab accent engaged in a verbal , unprofessional, loud shouting match with of all people a customer . For a moment I was expecting the employee to throw a punch she seemed that agitated ! Now I understand customers can be annoying but that level of unprofessionalism seemed to easy for that employee to reach which means the employee is quite comfy with that demeanor which means she has no real fear of repercussion. So one can only surmise this the level of customer care to be expected at the Waltham .

      Tried calling about a spam email I got saying I made a purchase from PayPal. Just wanted to make sure it was nothing to worry about but I’m put on hold for almost an hour when it’s supposed to be less busy there. Ended up hanging up because I don’t have time to wait.

      I regret there is nothing below a one star rating. Months and months of trying to stay with these guys but my concerns were falling on deaf ears. I closed two corporate accounts and they didn't even ask why. There is no 'search' on the help for their online portal which warranted three calls per week for my accounts. These calls have an average of 4.5 hours wait time...thanks God they do call-backs. How does this organization stay in business? Yet another trip to the local branch where they assured my problems were resolved...get back to my PC to log in to find that they screwed up again. Now I'm back on the phone with a three hour wait...

      Extremely good rates on all accounts, especially savings. So far their customer service has been pretty good (just a lot of hold time if you need something that can only be done on the phone).

      DCU has been a pleasure to bank with. Compare their auto loan rate, their savings account interest rate (for first $1k), etc, with any other major bank's rates - can't be beat.

      Today I decided to head into a local DCU branch since the webaite kept having an issue uploading my photo ID after numerous tries. Upon arrival to the bank I was quickly assisted by a rep by the name Anu Rana who was very courteous and through she helped me complete my application and sign up and log into my online banking all while explaining the benefits of joining the DCU family..
