  My son, who purchased a house through Finance of America in 2020, recommended FoA. My experience with Dave and his team at FoA has been overwhelmingly positive. The process has not been glitch-free, but everyone has acted in good faith with promptness and professionalism. Dave made a VERY good recommendation in early 2021: to lock in an interest rate early given the risk -- which is being realized -- of inflation. I unconditionally recommend Finance of America.

  It is REALLY rare for me to walk away from a professional engagement and be utterly wowed but working with Dave and the FoA team is one of those rare times. I was buying a home for the first time. I shopped around for a lender and although I tried out several options, including my bank, Dave really shone in large part because aside from being quick and knowledgeable, he was interested in the relationship and me as a buyer. Other lenders were like “here’s the numbers kbye” (I literally never heard from any of them ever again) and Dave came with the options AND information I didn’t have and followed up with me to make sure I had what I needed. We did a preapproval process. All my pre-research had prepared me for a long grueling process of photocopies of every financial doc under the sun. Instead, I got into their portal, uploaded some docs, connected to my banks and done. Welcome to 2022, mortgages. And I’m sure there was tons of work happening in the background but for me, it was easy. And then the market went nuts and finding a house stretched out for a year and a half and MANY offers and that’s when I got really grateful for Dave. We started getting creative with offer strategy so several times, I needed him to run numbers for different strategies. For every one of the umpteen offers, we included a new preapproval letter from him and very often the offer was happening end of day or on a weekend. But each and every time, he was available quickly, with the right information and preapproval letters on tap. And oh so patiently, to boot. When I finally got frustrated with the market, he was there with numbers so that I could make a data driven decision. Finally, I landed a house and the FoA team got more actively involved with me on the process. Melissa was just as fantastic as Dave. Very often before I could even ask a question, there was an email with the answer! And yet again, the process of getting all the paperwork finalized was online and easy, with a really clear list of what was needed when. They worked together with the escrow company and my agent seamlessly. I am a project manager in tech. I am intimately aware of what is required to juggle multiple balls across multiple vendors and how challenging creating functional tech can be. It’s clear to me, given how complicated and specialized real estate lending is given all the related laws and requirements and ins and outs of the process versus how easy it was for me, that they have spent a lot of time and effort crafting a process that works well. Further, the whole team was just so solid, and real and knowledgeable about all the things. I felt like I had a partner in financing rather than being sold something. And in something as important to me as buying a home, where everything needs to be perfect, they were on point. I could not have dreamed up a better financing company if I tried.

  David and his team did a terrific job in getting me approved and into my first home. They got me a great rate even with my credit issues. Nathan kept great communication with me through out the process, and as long as you can provide them with the documents they request in a timely matter, you will close on or before your scheduled close date. They were even able to fund my loan on the same day even though all paperwork was signed later on in the day. For anyone with great, good, average, poor, or bad credit I recommend The David Kilkenny Team they will get you on the right path.

  Dave was referred to me by another friend who had just completed a refinance, and I completely understand why. The whole process was awesome. Dave and his team were happy to communicate via my preferred method and were nearly instantaneous to respond. Everything moved at what felt like warp speed... I read that refinances were often taking up to 6 months because of the rush on refinancing right now thanks to low rates. My process from start to finish only took 36 days. A++++

  Dave and his team (Nathan and Jeannette) are absolutely the best! They are so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and I would never go anywhere else! They have helped me with 2 house purchases and I just finished my first refinance - and it was an absolute dream of a process. Couldn't ask for anyone better!   Finance of America was fantastic to work with. David Kilkenny met with us in his office on his day off so that he could get us approved for our purchase. We sold one home and purchased another simultaneously which was very stressful. Timing was everything. David and his team made the process feel easy and stress free. He even saved us a ton (thousands) in fee's by pointing out how to use our veterans benefits in a way we never considered before. David and his team worked diligently to move the process along for us very quickly. His production manager Nathan Fields did a wonderful job facilitating the document processing for our loan. We feel they went above and beyond to get us the best possible loan for our new home. Thank you David and the team over at Finance of America!

  I cannot say enough GREAT things about Dave Kilkenny and his team. We bought our house with him about 10 years ago, and I couldn’t believe how easy and flawless the process was. I had no idea what I was doing as a first time home buyer, and they walked me through every step so I always knew what was happening. I have since refinanced twice with Dave and, again, had nothing but a positive, easy, and stress free process.
