  Financing my car with them, never was aware of the outrageous charges they make for leaving a lapsed of insurance. 2 months is worth $1,985!!! That's a $1,000 each month, way more than my car payment, after talking to representative and she said i should be cleared as longest i provide proof of insurance... here comes a bill for almost $2,000 . This is crazy, i should've stayed with other bank that was financing my previous car, biggest mistake honestly i regret it now. Do the research before doing any kind of switch, the reviews exist for a reason.

  PLEASE READ. Do NOT do business with DATCU! THEY ARE SCAMMERS. They fail to inform you if you don’t have full coverage insurance they will charge you a “Collateral Protection Premium” OF ALMOST 4,000$! They literally will add it to your loan total and won’t even remove it once you get full coverage! By FORCE because it was “in the contract” as if anyone actually sits through and reads the contracts. OH and they try and make you pay it off in 12 months! Such a joke I should have stayed with capital one. I WILL BE REFINANCING WITH CAPITAL ONE IMMEDIATELY.

  You can’t Wire, Zelle or transfer funds to other banks. Stay away. You can only mail large checks. They also put insurance on my auto loan while I was looking for a new insurance company. It increased my payment by almost 2-3k.

  Fantastic bank Beats being underneath the thumb of Chase or Bank of America Pleased with everything from security to customer service. Could live without some of the interest rates, but a bank has to get by as well :-P Lol

  Regina and Andrew were insanely helpful and this was the easiest banking experience I have ever had. Opened a checking and savings account in about 10 minutes and my debit card was ready for me to take right then!

  Worst credit union I have ever done business with. Agent are sloppy with paperwork and I have had to call 5 times to practically beg them to take a payment out for my auto loan since the agent messed up my ach payment paperwork 3 times.

  Declined transactions when your balance shows to be available regardless of the pending charges. The after hour line goes to a third party of incredibly unhelpful and rude staff who resort to "that's all the information I have, you need to call the bank". So if you are stuck with their dysfunctional online banking on a Friday night, count on being without access to your bank for the entirety of the weekend. This bank has tainted the concept of a Credit Union to those of us weary of large corporate banks.

  Got my new debit card. It listed 4 ways to activate the card. Only problem is 3 of those ways do not work at all. Financially stranded to start the New Year.

  I don't live in Denton so I called needing help with several things. I talked with two people who were both extremely helpful. They were both very friendly. Even through the phone, I could feel their smiles as they answered my questions. They did not make this older woman feel at all "dumb" for having to call and ask for help. Thank you very much!

  Went to this bank to purchase a car from an individual. Asked them to notarize a bill of sale and the lady refused to do so. Said she was a notary but would not help. Banks need to remember they are in the customer service industry. Would I do business in the future with this bank? No. Would I send them business? No. Disappointing that it was not a better experience.
