Credit Adjustments Inc Reviews

aleisha renea1My issue is with the debt collector, Credit Adjustments Incorporated, assigned by the U.S. Department of Education, and not with the person I worked with. I have a huge problem with the way this company works, especially in regards to making sure people can pay their debt and still take care of their families. I wanted to work out a way to begin paying on my old student loan with payments that I could afford. I make a decent salary, but it does not mean I do not have hardships. When I gave them the rundown of what I pay per month for all of my expenses and taking care of my family of four alone, I pay out more than I actually bring home. I know that I owe the debt, and I have been on a payment plan before, but I have never been able to repay it due to many difficult times. I thought I might catch a break this year by taking care of this so that I could at least receive my income tax return this time. As it turns out, I still cannot get my income tax refund, nor will my monthly student loan payments be affordable. I let them know what I could afford, and they completely ignored that. Most of the process is arguable. The main issue I have is that they include my retirement funding included on my pay stub as part of my income. This is the amount I will put towards my retirement for the next 20 years or so. I do not see this money come into my home. Yet, they count it as income. That is how it was explained to me. Somehow, they ended up with a total of $1,300 more than what I actually bring home per month, and they are charging me per month based on this false bring home pay amount. I called to do the right thing and to hopefully get help. Instead, they did the opposite. I was contacted on 3/9/2020, the following Monday, by representative Phillip. I told him I was waiting to be contacted on 3/10/2020 by Alyssa. I have contacted the Department of Education regarding being charged based on a take home pay of $1,300 more than what I actually bring home. Phillip said he was calling to address this. He then told me that this is not a policy of theirs, but of the Department of Education. I do believe this information to be false, as this is not the first time my account was owned by a third party, and the company before this one did no such thing.

david conte1They don’t call you back because they are not interested in resolving debts; they just want to take your money and not give it back! Update; if you do manage to speak to someone, they will probably be extremely rude and nasty! Believe it or not, the US Department of education has chosen this horrible company to collect student loan debt from people including the disabled

Betty Robinson2I would like to speak with a person that’s all. The normal workday for most is 8-4. It would be great PR if their reputation was that they return calls at that time or picked up the phone at anytime since I call when it’s convenient. Otherwise set up appointments to return calls...
