  We purchased our second home with Cornerstone lending and I can’t even explain how amazing Rhonda and Heather are! They are responsive, kind, caring, and remember details that jus make you feel like their only clients. The customer service is absolutely top notch, and they are 100% worth working with. We highly recommend Cornerstone for lending needs, you won’t be disappointed with their thoroughness and sweet family feel.

  Rhonda and her team- especially Pam, were AMAZING! We started the process with another lender located in Anchorage in April of this year and had a horrible experience! So we decided to switch lenders in the middle of July and began working with Cornerstone Lending! Rhonda and her team were professional, excellent with communication, experienced and just incredibly hardworking. With Cornerstone lending, we closed in 23 days from start to finish! Highly recommend using them and so grateful for taking us on mid- transaction and closing us in a speedy and professional fashion! Plus, their rates were significantly better too!   Rhonda and Aimee were both awesome throughout this process. We previously tried to go through another local lender in Homer who for whatever reason stopped talking to us and left us hanging with no explanation or follow-up. We were starting to panic but Rhonda and her team came through and delivered an awesome experience as well as a great rate. The process was relatively simple and smooth and we would absolutely go back to them again.

  Rhonda and her team at Cornerstone Lending were absolutely wonderful! They answered all of my questions and talked me through the process so I understood every step. They returned the calls and emails promptly and notified me of changes and how our loan was progressing. I highly recommend Rhonda Johnson and her team if you are looking for a home loan.

  Rhonda Johnson and her staff really know they're stuff and were super helpful in the home loan process from start to finish. We had to buy a house in a short period of time and she worked around everyone's busy schedule. Made for a very easy experience! Will recommend to everyone we know.

  Getting pre-qualified with Rhonda J. was the best part of our experience and was the initial phase of the process. After that we had less and less interaction with Rhonda. We seemed to be handed off to "corporate office" staff hounding us for additional documentation. We provided the documentation in an attached PDF which included multiple documents. However, we were then again and again asked to submit same documentation. An example was when we were asked for our pay stubs; well we sent them copies of pay stubs going back four pay periods, however we were emailed again and again asking for the more recent pay stubs. In the end we had to tell them that they needed to scroll through the document we sent them - explaining that there was more than one page included. They do have an online portal for uploading documents, which we did not use and perhaps that would have been a better process, but then why work with anyone locally, if you're just handed off to "online and corporate" staff members. Again, Rhonda J. was the best part of our experience. I wish she had been more involved in the process following our early pre-qualification phase.

  We are using Rhonda Johnson’s Cornerstone team in Homer and Soldotna. We Have had a rough experience to say the least. We are now past closing, with many “I’m sorry, but there is nothing we can do”. I can’t get anyone to call me back. Received email stating I “should have known” about the CD and it’s requirements and I should have asked for it. Lee told me she got distracted and didn’t realize that the closing date was moved up (in the counteroffer sent Day 1). She’s been busy. They asked for documents, and more documents after stating we don’t need anything else. Now past closing date and need a verification of past employment they sent out weeks ago. We are paying rent to the seller for a short time, now in an Airbnb, hoping to close soon. They aren’t covering any costs because their manager is on vacation and can’t be bothered. Please avoid Rhonda Johnson’s area altogether. Stressed and frustrated.
