  We recently worked with Eric Armstrong to secure a mortgage loan for our home purchase. He was great to work with and was available 24-7 for questions and concerns. We closed right in the middle of the COVID pandemic without any problems. Eric added a nice personal touch and quickly made us feel right at home in this new city. Commerce really cares. They are not your typical mortgage broker. We couldn't be happier with choosing Eric and Commerce Bank.

  I was thankful to find Commerce Bank and Eric Armstrong! Eric guided me through the long mortgage application process! He followed through on everything and was spot on with everything he said! He was patient with me and would work with me at times when the process became confusing for me. I will probably do more business with Commerce Bank in the future!

  Based on my latest interaction with Commerce Bank lending I felt the need to let others know my opinion of the bank. I've been a client of Commerce for the majority of 45 years since it was People's Bank. I've had multiple mortgages with them over the years. I've had checking with them most of the 45 years. However, dealing with them over the last several months has not been pleasant. Within three months they sent out two different contract appraisers who valued the property of a less than 2 year old house more than $100,000 less than when the house was built. I realize that appraisals are a subjective opinion. However, I find it hard to believe that the market changed so rapidly in 15 months that the value of a relatively new house decreased that much. So, my suggestion is to anyone looking to finance a home avoid Commerce at all costs.

  I worked with Eric Armstrong to get loan, and it was a very nice and pleasant experience. He was able to get the loan in a month. I would say that Eric is the person to work with. The whole Commerce Bank was great.
