      My wife and I recently opened a checking account at City Bank in College Station, TX so we could purchase some international currency. Rachel helped us set up the account and did the currency purchase too, she was outstanding. Rachel was very friendly, and most of all, knowledgeable about what we're trying to accomplish. I gave a 4 star only due to the fact that on one of the currency purchases, the amount we got back was nearly twenty five percent less than expected based on the international rates the day we purchased. Our other currency was pretty much what we expected, not sure what happened with the other one.

      Best bank in town, Period. Customer service is second to none, and it is all LOCAL. Everyone is super friendly, and I've honestly never had a bad experience working with the folks at City Bank. They go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met, no matter how big or small.

      Update: They have done a better job keeping the area clean and trees trimmed. -------------------------- Not a neighborly business! The front and sides of the business looks beautiful and is beautifully kept. But, back behind the nice fence they put up is horrible! The do not water the Pine Trees nor do they maintain the area. Trash has built up and pine needles cover the sidewalk and parts of the street. When they send someone out (which is extremely rare) they blow everything into the street and into the yards across the street. Extremely disappointed in this business!

      Well my my wife and I have used this bank for a while now, 20 years for my wife and around 10 for me. This bank is a hit and miss with customer service. When we first try to get our first loan with them to purchase a house it was like pulling teeth and and got denied. So we went through Wells Fargo and got approved. Then we had several bad experiences with the customer service. We had noticed occasionally when we go inside the bank it seems we’re looked down upon. It seems all the time we’re being helped the representatives seem annoyed or in a bad mood but when there helping a different race their moods changes really quick. I don’t know if there just races or what there problem is. Is sure hope it isn’t a race issue. Also there has been times where I’m just wanting to cash my check and I’m not allowed because there’s not enough in my account they say which is something I never heard of. And as far as there mobile app goes it never works of course. Others then that there area a couple of positives such as they never had any issues like Wells Fargo fraud problems they had. So yeah other then that my wife has already switched banks and I’m pretty sure I’ll be switching soon as well.

      Initially I was very disappointed in a recent development with City Bank. I voiced my opinion via a review. Following that review City Bank reached out to me and adequately resolved my issue, reversing any negative sentiment I had from my experience. I appreciate that in a Bank and believe it is a great reflection of the Customer First mentality City Bank expresses.

      I wouldn't go here because they mismanaged my money. Opened a money markey account. The rep that helped me didn't go over much account information or fees. My first fee was for not signing up for electronic statements. They reversed that. Then a month later i had another service charges for 12. I wasn't actually supposed to be charged that fee. Now I'm being told I need to call every month to have the $12 reversed Otherwise they will keep charging me because they have an error with their system Alliance has been great
