The security approached me while waiting in the lobby for a ride and told me i had to leave. I informed them my ride is on the way and they said go wait for them outside. It is currently 35° and hailing and building management refuses to allow people to wait inside to avoid getting sick. Very inhumane and sad.

Disabled customer “recipient of poor Citi Bank’s customer service skills for 2 consecutive days”. 03/19/2021 I took my disabled mother who suffers from mobility issues caused by (bilateral hip implants and lumbar scoliosis whom currently is also under my care) to cash her stimulus check (issued on 01/06/21) to the closest Citi Bank branch located at ( 1 Court Square Long Island City, NY 11120). An “assigned financial assistant agent” was supposed to assist us through the process of opening such account. Surprisingly after she was “thoroughly explained” of our purpose to open such account by using the funds on the stimulus check and after presenting all the online documents advised to bring with us as well; she proceeded to request extra supporting documents for a (proof of address by a Federal Agency). Although we new that it was an extra effort being put on my mother’s disability to come back and get the requested proof of address, we agreed to her request to bring back proof of address by a Federal Agency). Prior leaving the branch was asked her “for a second time” if this was the only missing requirement to process the opening of the account to which she positively gave us a “yes” response. Later that day we came back with the document the agent requested “an extra document” -original social security card-. She “now expressed” that without the new requested document she could not proceed to open the account and to simply come back when we had it just to show it physically to her as this new step would complete the process of opening the checking account due to the fact that we had already presented to her the rest of the documents and there was no need to bring them again. During our 3rd. visit to the branch 03/20/2021 to comply with the agent’s last step to “show physically the original social security card requested” in order to proceed to finalize the process on the account opening; without honoring her word and not showing any remorse to all the effort that she had put my mother through “she asked to see again the proof of address shown to her the day before”. This lack of focusing on the attention, careless and disorganized way of assisting customers in need of complying at once with all the necessary paper work; only showed (a discriminatory behavior to my mother’s disability as well as to all my mother’s effort invested in complying with the bank’s requirement). As a result based on the agent’s customer skills provided; only proved that this whole process was a big disorganize messy game to her waisting customer’s time. This unprofessional careless attitude that the assigned agent continued to provide us for two consecutive days (03/19/2021 and 03/20/2021) was the straw that broke the camels back and forced us to give up on our intent to open the account. Prior leaving the branch we requested to have the chance to express our experienced discontentment to the manager whom was nowhere to be found and apparently feels comfortable leaving the branch to be in hands of people’s poor service skills. It is extremely disappointing to personally learn how Citi Bank management does not care about the kind of customer care level that is being currently given and pushes away potential customers by not showing empathy and respect to clients’ needs (specially to the ones with disabilities). As a kind reminder to the Citi Bank Group, “don’t underestimate this type of incidents or ignore the way you are responding to financial community’s needs; the message that you are clearly sending across is of poor service standards by the lack of common sense service skills and general principles that need to be applied when interacting with all customers especially the ones with disabilities”. You urgently need to try to work on respect to customer’s business brought to you by displaying welcoming attitude, courtesy, patience and desire to help.

Let me start by saying this is the first time I have experienced bad customer service at this Citibank branch. I visited the branch today May 15th at around 1:38 pm, I stood in line for a sec before the teller (short, older Caucasian male wearing a shirt and tie) gave me a non verbal sign that he was available even though he looked as if he would rather be anywhere else but working. He did not say anything, no hello, how can I help you - Nothing. I asked my question; but before I could finish the question, he had decided that I needed to go to personal banking. Then I asked again and he wasn't sure. He turned to another person (presumably a supervisor who was standing in the back, older African American woman with a Caribbean accent). She gave him the answer. I found her answer strange so I asked again. I walked away very upset. But then came back to ask a follow up question. She rolled her eyes and did let me finish the question before giving her response. Her response did not answer the question, which I informed her and then finally she answered it. I have worked in a bank for 4 years so I know that the answer was not entirely accurate and that there are other ways to do this type of transaction. I found it rude and unprofessional. You are here to provide a service not to be abrasive to customers. I did call customer service and spoke to a representative on the phone and they were able to assist me. Shame on you Citibank and the way you treat your customers.

I came to this location on two different occasions (different days and times) to open a new account. The first time I waited for over 45 minutes and was never approached nor helped. I left my information with a teller who said a banker would call me when he was available, because I work in the area. On my second attempt, I went at opening and was the first customer waiting. The banker saw and assisted a lady with whom he had a relationship, before me. Then told me he had an appointment with an older gentleman who came in after I was seated and waiting. There were several other employees in the office and he sought their assistance to assist me but they all declined. He then asked me to return to the branch at a later time. How many times must one go to the bank in order to open an account? Go at your own risk. Not much work is done by the pompous staff in this branch. Ironic that the service here abhorrent when they are located in the Citi building.

Great perks and incentives for the staff here. While I do not work for Citi, but do work for the city, I am able to take advantage of the things offered working/coexisting in the building. Today I got a free metro card and snow cone. Check out my cool photos. Also this building has a game room, gym, great food with chefs and all. The trains lead directly into the building and the view from the windows are everything.

I recently opened an account with Citi and I was so impressed with the personal banker's professionalism and patience throughout the entire process. The entire staff (both personal bankers, branch manager, assistant branch manager and Citigold rep) were incredibly friendly and helpful. I felt right at home. I left the branch knowing I made the right decision - glad to be banking with Citi. I highly recommend this branch!

Clean, relatively roomy, short wait for tellers, and not long wait for customer service. While big banks don't usually give you the best rates, Citi has a 2% cash back credit cards which beats the competition. If you use Citibank, this is a good branch to use.

The staff is very warm. The withdrawal limit is more than BoA from what I have experienced. They were really helpful when I wanted to encash my travellers checks.

I have been a loyal customer since 1978, I took a Path train over and started banking at WTC branch. right now I am banking at 125th branch, in August 8 - October 27, 2015 there were 27 fraudurant checks which amounted to $ 28,500 and we called & filed the claims immediately as soon as you received the statements. So far we received two letters from the bank that they will not paid because they received the claims later than 30 days. They were lies !, The bank is claimed insured under FDIC and the fraud signature was Andrew Colbin, not even my name. I don't know who these payees or signer are. But it is GROSSLY negligent in Citibank part. When I travelled over sea and tried to use credit cards, Citibank too ask to notify them before traveling. And often the bank blocked the usage of card during the traveling. I was not able to contact the phone listed at the back of the cards. These activities are going on for years !. Enough is enough with this Citibank even I maintain Gold card status. I move my business elsewhere and never again be your customer. !. This is not a bank that will protect your interests ! but grossly protected fraudurent activities.
