Wonderful experience buying our daughter a car at Certified Auto Exchange in Keyport, NJ. Both the owner, Moe Montemurro, and manager, Joe Smith were extremely knowledgable, helpful, and friendly. I felt as if I knew them my whole life. They had a great selection of vehicles to choose from. The whole process was seamless. We'll be going back to purchase a car for our son in a few years. I highly recommend CAE in Keyport. Thank you, Moe M and Joe S!!!

I recommend this place to anyone. Joe was an amazing customer service representative, helped me out, explained process, and went out of his way to help. My car runs great, excellent condition. Hopefully for the long run😊👍 great place to buy a used vehicle🚗🚙🚘

We went to this dealer over the weekend to purchase a car for our daughter. We found a cute little 07 Honda Fit with 53k miles. Craig told my wife and I on the lot that the car was one price and when we came back Keith told us higher price. We were annoyed by the bait and switch of sales people but we still opted to test drive the car. After inspecting it we found some red flags but nothing serious. Missing inner wheel liner, multiple golf ball size dents through out the roof, damage center console which appeared to have the aux jack ripped out. The carfax looked ok, not great. The true miles of this vehicle are unknown. There is a 500 mile discrepancy between the odometer and the carfax, again not terrible. What turned us off was Keith's attitude and his insistance on going for the test drive with us. As we sat in the car with it running we notice the AC is not the best at an idle and Keith insisted that all cars do this; I beg to differ. Every vehicle I own stays cold at an idle. The AC needs a charge. As we left the lot Keith just kept talking. I wasn't sure if him riding along was for a distraction of issues with the vehicle or not. So as we sat and then drove the car there was a considerable thumping sound from under the hood. At first I thought it was the AC clutch engaging hard but it was a different sound. Keith insisted it was a wet coil pack from when the vehicle was pressure washed. Ok I figure sure, that can happen. When we returned to the lot I asked Keith if they could fix the thumping sound and we would come back Monday afternoon to take another ride. His attitude became even more abrupt. He told me he's not fixing anything without a non-refundable $500.00 down payment. I told him I'm not going to put a down payment on a car in disrepair but he held firm and said no down payment no repair. He also offered a warranty if we paid full price for the car and when I told him how much I was willing to go on a 2007 car with issues he and the guy behind the glass laughed at me.That was just enough for us. We left, went to another lot and needless to say the other lot was considerate and not distracting. Apparently the other lot knew about this Honda and told us it was a good thing we didn't buy because the thumping could be a head gasket problem. We do not recommend ever buying anything from this car lot. It's obvious the staff does not read the reviews. They're offering us double our money back and we didnt buy from them. Read the review!!!!

I strongly recommend you have a mechanic check out any vehicle you purchased from this dealership I recently purchase a SUV from this dealership. Cosmetically the car look nice mechanically there were some major issues that cost me over $2000 worth of repairs I ask Moe to help me out with some of the repairs he refuse He told me he will be losing money if he was to help me out. He stated since he gave me a three month powertrain warranty that was more than efficient instead of disclosing the issues with the car. If I was you I would shop around I’m sure you can find a better deal and someone more honest Moe called me after reading the reviews said he would help me out I told him that we can split the cost of $2500 in repairs he refuses and offered to give me $22 for a part they cost over $600.He said he will call me back he never called back

My girlfriend bought a car from here about a year ago. Moe, is a terrible business owner. He sold her a lemon, with a warranty that was no good. When after a week or so, the transmission went. Instead of doing anything about it, he basically said there was nothing he could do. Since then, my girlfriend has spent over $4000 dollars on new trans, fuel pump, leaky gaskets twice, and every month something new. Moe you should be ashamed of yourself. The BBB with get a hold of you soon.

      Response from the owner

Come in for a full refund or will fix the car free of charge

My best friend purchased a vehicle two months ago and she’s loving it. Considering we didn’t have our husbands around Moe and Nick very honest with the vehicle pricing. Nick convinced Jenn to get extended warranty so she doesn’t have to worry about any mechanical issues or unexpected expenses. I recommend Certified Auto is a great place for women consumers. Thank you 😊

The buying process was fine they were nice untill they are telling me that I broke something that I didn’t and wouldn’t fix it and the car sat for 3 weeks and didn’t get the stuff done to it that it came broken with and said it’s my fault I didn’t break a window switch or a spring nor did they do anything with the battery that the car was sitting on there lot for however long and didnt fix that either seems like there nice till they get the money and then don’t wanna help you after the car itself was in great shape but if your gonna and tell people you stand behind what your selling you should fix issues that are complained about not have a car three weeks for a 02 sensor only thing good they did was put new tires on it but the sensor light was on since we bought it to “the warranty doesn’t cover that” make sure if you buy a car u take a test drive that isn’t two minute around the block and you don’t get beat

Overall I had a good buying experience dealing with CAE, Feb 2019. Nov 2018 I first went to CAE for a look at their lot In January, I went there and put $100 towards my down payment and showed 2 recent paystubs. John explained to me that this would hold my SUV, take it "off" the sales lot so to speak. When I went back to do the paperwork. I met Mo and let Mo know what I was able to afford. The SUV priced $5995 ( I wanted approx. $200 monthly payments) Mo said he could do $224 a month with $2,000 down. My credit wasn't good so I needed a co-signer and my APR was 23%. I knew it wasn't going to get much better than that. It took me nearly 6 months to get a car. Out of all the places I went. CAE treated me fair, understood what I needed and helped me get it. A week later, I drove away in a beautiful 05 Chevy Equinox LT, with 94,300 miles and 1 owner who took excellent care of it. Of course I put about $1,200 into it considering the 100,000 mile tune up, brake calipers, and other necessary maintenance costs. It ran good, no issues. I had to pay for my license plates though. I didn't like that because they charged like $400 for paperwork! I paid off my SUV 5 months early! *Anytime you are considering buying a used car DO your RESEARCH & pay a mechanic to do a pre - inspection on vehicles you're considering buying. The person or place you're buying from shouldn't have a problem with this. It's worth the $150-$200 depending on who you use and how many cars they look at.

Anyone looking for a car stay away from this place. The vehicle I was looking at ran 4444 When I went to buy the car he wanted 5999.when you look on the window look for the small print cuz that's where everything is hidden the price and the warranty if the price goes down you have no warranty. I rate this one at -20 Stars cuz between Mo and Nick they both lie.I also need about $2,000 worth of repairs in my car both upper and lower ball joints on the front on both sides need to be replaced. Boat stabilizer links in the rear are broken and busted off. He replace the radio and now the new radio works sometimes he took it out of a junkyard. I also have to repair the tire sensors on my vehicle. Which could cost between 7 to $1,200 that I'm looking forward to have to pay. And I have this all backed up by my mechanics 2 Page letter. And this is a certified Auto exchange.the only certified people in there is Mo and Nick and they're both liars.Everything was supposed to be fixed but after he got paid nothing did.considering I'm sending a letter to the better business bureau, Chambers of commerce, an the attorney general.and if anybody wants a copy of the report leave a telephone number on this exchange and I will call you and send it to you. Please please do not buy a vehicle from this company at all thank you are you honest there isn't any other new owners I called and it's the same owners the same voice MO so don't believe what you see on the review they are still the owners and they are still ripping you off

Place is a joke called and offered a trade in and 10% down, which they offer $99 down and a job will get you a vehicle with decent credit obviously the salesmen tells me he cant finance the vehicle and demands full price in cash... Why have in your dealerships description 99down and a job or financing if you arent going to HONOR what is on your website? Places like this you need to stay away from.... TO THEIR RESPONSE IS BIG BS I DIDNT GIVE YOU ANY OF MY INFO I ONLY TOLD THEM MY FIRST NAME WHEN I CALLED NICE TRY ON THE ATTEMPT TO SAVING YOURSELF

      Response from the owner

Terms and conditions are set by the bank and not the dealership of course we would like to finance and sell a car unfortunately your credit did not meet the requirements of the 🏦 bank
