  Horrible experience for my first mortgage. Chris Harris and his team did not communicate internally at all. My boyfriend initially submitted our mortgage request, but then I was the only person listed on the mortgage, and they would not stop contacting him. He said multiple times to use my email and phone number, since the mortgage would be in my name only, but Chris called him every single time they had a question or needed something. We were on a tight time limit to close or lose the house we were purchasing, and it took a month and a half to close. It wouldn't have been an unreasonable time frame, except we literally ended up closing on the last day we could, which caused a lot of stress for us. Even on the morning of the closing, I got an email requesting more information to finish processing. When we started to apply pressure to close, we were told that no one ever let them know we needed to close by this date- both us and our realtor had informed them of this multiple times- THEN Chris blamed it on me not getting my documents in in a timely manner, when I submitted every document within 12 hours of asking for it. We even had a last minute situation where they needed 5 additional documents before closing, and I emailed them IMMEDIATELY. We had multiple situations where I called to pay the appraisal, or sent in a W2, and we wouldn't hear back for 3-4 days until they would contact and tell us that they needed us to pay the appraisal or send our W2. These two situations alone wasted us over a week of time. Literally everything that delayed our closing was due to them not listening or paying attention to the situation, and every single time they blamed it on us. Buying your first home is stressful enough, and they made it 100x worse.

  My experience with the Chris Harris team at Cason's Clarkston office was wonderful. Prompt, friendly, honest, helpful and efficient. They made this entire experience easy and stress free. Would absolutely recommend.
