  Great experience doing business with these guys. Quick and easy to sell some scrap jewelry. They also helped educate me a bit on the jewelry as well as firearms. They even offered to clean my personal gun to make sure it is safe. Outstanding! Definitely recommend!

  They have great customer service and a great selection. Went in to buy an acoustic guitar and found one in great condition at a great price. They even threw in a quality guitar case for free. Excellent experience, I’d definitely shop from them again!

  I had gone to their other location in San Marcos and had not realized they had a fire. The manager asked, "Have you checked out the one in Kyle?" I was biting my tongue as I had been quite a few times, only to leave disappointed because they were not willing to budge on their prices. The manager tells me the Sales Manager of 14 years just left and I should go give them another trip. I had made a comment about that location being "proud" of their prices. (They are not competitively pricing items. You would think they would sell more volume if they would not price stuff above retail. I have looked at the Pawn "Blue Book". I know how much money they have in many of their items.) I walk in to this place and the store is full of stuff. As I look through the display case, I see a Boss OD-1 "black label" priced at $499. I also saw some "parts caster" guitar someone threw together that also was overpriced. I get home and check Reverb first for the "black label" OD-1 and it is on the higher end of what Reverb has it listed for. Keep in mind, this is "used retail" price, not pawn price. I completely understand that these places goal is to make as much money as they can. This pedal they had is also one that is a "collectors item" for some musicians and I completely understand that. You would think instead of pricing items higher than what could get them off eBay, Guitar Center Used or Reverb, you would mark them a little lower and you might move more volume that way. I have in the past made offers on stuff at this location, only to have them shoot it down, telling me they can knock off only 10% off the price. I had hoped that things had changed for Cash Box Pawn since the Sales Manager left. Apparently, things are business as usual over there.

  This pawn shop has always been under great management. They always have amazing prices on the merchandise they sell. On a daily basis they have amazing guitars and not to mention a knowledgeable staff. Michael, keep up the good work

  I've been going to this pawn shop for 11 years now. It is a small, local business that treats it's customers fairly. Loyalty pays greatly with this shop. The more you come, the better it gets. They often make deals with people on items, and give good value for items that other shops may not even take. This pawn shop has helped me in my deepest times of need, and have never let me lose my items for late payments, as long as I come in and let them know my situation. They are very willing to work with people who need help. These people have good hearts.

  I've had really good luck here. Bought lots of items from them. One time I had to return something and they took it back with no issues. Needed an iPad in a hurry this week and they had exactly what I needed at a very fair price even gave me a couple of days warranty to make sure everything was good. It was

  Horrible service. Stopped by to look at products and the salesperson kept insisting a youth bow was an adult bow. Showed his ignorance in the product then mumbled insults as my son and I walked away. Salesperson, older Hispanic, has no customer service skills. His arguement turned more into into being right than selling the product. It would have differently if my son was not with me. Go elsewhere. Pawn shops are a dime a dozen. The 4 and 5 star reviews are probably relatives, employees or friends of shop.
