Cardinal Financial Company, Limited Partnership Reviews

Kimberly Benitez1Do not go here!!!! Save yourself the headache. There was lots of miscommunication within the team. Clearly working from home is not very effective. They delayed my process a lot and continuously requested information towards the end that was communicated in the beginning of the process. Again, failure to communicate with each other. It was extremely difficult to get in contact with anyone there. FIRST communication EVER with my loan officer did NOT occur until about two weeks into the process. Maria was rude and disrespectful, always mentioning that it was not her case to work and she was “just helping”. Terrible thing to say to your customers. They gave me trouble all the way into the end. The loan wasn’t funded in time for closing even though they were aware about the time and date. As a result of their ineptitude everyone had to wait a day to get paid. Just a horrible experience. Ohh did I also mention that they forged my aunts signature on some documents. I asked if these documents had to be wet signed, all I needed was an answer and I could get it done. But no they go behind my back send me signed documents and then ask me to tell my aunt to send it from her email to the UW. I was extremely frustrated with their lack of professionalism and help. I would never ever recommend them to anyone, please seek somewhere else and save yourself the stress.

Diana Kassel1I have nothing but evasion and no answers. I’ve called weekly to ask why there is a delay. I’ve asked for return phone calls and have gotten none. In the mean time I’m in over 120 days. I did not authorize a new appraisal but they did it any way and added it to the mounting fees. Closing cost/fees are up to over 17000. I’ve not signed the new disclosures or re lock documents, yet they send me an email wanting to run another credit check, but the did that on 10/29, and they make sure it hits 3 times within a 2 day period. Scam, financial fraud, financial abuse.

MELISA WELCH1The absolute worst home loan company I have ever delt with. The lender kept missing things that they felt like the needed which cause our rate lock to be extended multiple times which caused our closing cost to go up more each time. The lender was rude and get defensive when I would ask questions. Documents had to be sent multiple times because they would loose them. After 60 days and almost loosing the home because the seller was tired of the games our lender was paying we pulled out. Our closing cost was at $6100 when we started it was $3900 not including what the seller was bringing to close. Our new lender got our loan Done in 13 days and we didn't have to pay anything down and got out earnest money back. The stress and mental anguish this company has caused out family is not acceptable. I did voice a complaint but never heard from management or anyone.

Don Varner5I saw many very bad reviews and was highly questioning even getting a quote from CF. But, after comparing 9 different mortgage companies, I found that CF had the best overall pricing (Mortgage rate and closing costs - this was somewhat of a red flag). Anyway, I applied and worked with a person named Andrew P,. He was professional and able to quickly respond to my multiple questions (I was being cautious with CF based on reviews), and he was able to answer most all of them with clear communication. In the end all went well. So, the key to this process is the loan officer person you get - it makes all the difference. Ask for another loan officer if you get a non-communicative one. The company itself seems fine.

Grant McCleskey1Zero stars if I could. I refinanced my home in February 2021 and Cardinal was now my new mortgage lender. I did not have a payment in March so April 1st was my first scheduled mortgage payment. I made the payment on March 29th 2021. I have the print out confirmation, with confirmation number for the payment. Four business days later the money still had not came out of the account and was not showing up on my payment portal. I called this morning and was told my payment was rejected because my loan is being bought out by PHH mortgage next month. I then had to make the payment again over the phone, now a day late. How do you reject an online payment because my loan in being sold next month? Especially when I have the print out payment confirmation with the confirmation number Cardinal provided. If I would have made the payment and never followed up, I would have missed a mortgage payment because of them. If possible, do yourself a favor and work elsewhere

dan martin1If I could give negative stars I would have. Filled out something on credit karma and immediately got a call from a guy named Adam. Upon talking to him he said he prefers email for communication (big red flag) so I went with it. I got an email a half hour later stating they would be working with a loan officer and would get back to me. The email I got was on the 19th of May, I waited till the 25th and sent an email back asking how the process was going if he needed anything from me( i.e. W2's, tax returns ect...). Still heard nothing back and now it's June 1st. I'm not sure if radio silence is in this company's handbook. It's a shame as I read a lot of good reviews. I'm really hoping this isn't how they treat active duty military. It's already a hard enough lifestyle and this makes it worse. So thanks Adam and thanks Cardinal Financial for hiring people "who prefer email" so they can ghost people.

Michelle Daniels-King1They were extremely prejudice regarding my variety of income. Very judgmental. All was documented and they still questioned why I was getting it. How I can get it? Just sad.

Christy Schmaedeke1ZERO stars - this company is the worst lender I have ever done business with. We finally closed on the house 6 weeks after our expected date. We ended up having to call the corporate office in NC. Lots of lies from the loan officer in Schaumburg.
