  I've been banking with Cap Fed a very long time. I have financed my homes through their home loan financing department, made use of their safety deposit boxes, wired funds through them, and most importantly, I've helped instill an attitude of 'financial responsibility' to and through my son's first automobile purchase in their consumer loan division. The employees are courteous and friendly. They take time to do things right, the first time, and that may sometimes takes a bit longer in the lobby or drive up, but it is so well worth it, to me, especially in this ever faster-moving world we find ourselves living in. This home grown institution ALWAYS exceeds my expectations when it comes to customer service.

  We financed two houses with Capitol Federal over 30+ years.We had an excellent experience with the offices in West Wichita and in Overland Park. We also refinanced in 2016 with Capitol Federal. We strongly recommend them for any housing finance needs.

  So I was excited about getting another home after living in my home for 15 years and I already have loan through cap fed and have it almost paid off.I have enough money saved up to pay my house off, My credit score is good, I make 5 times more than when I got my original loan, I pay almost double on my payments so I can get ahead of the loan and I was in a bad accident a few years back but STILL made my payments. I made a 1 late payment a couple years back and now I'm being denied for a home loan and was told to just reapply next spring!?!?@ wow!!! They sure the hell dont care about their customers!!

  Got pre-approved for a loan through cap fed. They made us do extra inspections that we had to pay for. Never said anything about there being a problem with our loan then a week and a half before we were supposed to close they told us they were denying our loan. The reason they said they were denying the loan was because it needed a new roof(which they had known about for a month). Terrible place to finance a home through. They will draw it out, they don't communicate well and then they may well up and drop you right before closing.

  Well I love my Capital Federal. I was just in the one yesterday on Vermont Street in Lawrence, Susan did some notaries for me. She is awesome so kind and helpful .I've known her for years. She has always provided excellent service. So has Deborah. I have never had an issue with an account or problem . I can't say enough good things about this bank or any of the branches I have been to in Lawrence. We will never bank any where else and I highly recommend this bank. I do miss those cute commercials where the guy says no I don't have a reservation but I bank at cap fed and gets a table .That makes us laugh. Bruce & Trish Gifford

  I honestly believe they train employees to be unfriendly. Went today to do a simple transaction provided by their drive-thru and the woman did not even attempt to crack a smile and was very short. We went thru one more time to withrawal more cash and a man helped us this time and he did not smile either and was very short as well. I know it’s a bank and dealing with numbers can’t be all that exciting but you’re also dealing with the public. Implement better people skills with your employees or you’re going to start losing customers.

  I opened my account at this location. I found out I am being charged 35 cents every time I use my debit card. I confronted them about it (I couldn't find anything about it from the paperwork) and they said something to the extant of it being standard. A month later, my card has not worked for over a week. Their phone customer service was down when my card got declined the second time (I thought the first was a fluke). I called the branch when they were open and they said it was a known issue they were working on. After 8 days, it still isn't working, but now I got a letter saying my account was hacked. I'm closing my account.

  An absolutely atrocious bank. It's unbelievable how poor this banking experience is. We've had one issue after another. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
