Capital One Bank Reviews

Katherine M. Hill1This has to be one of CapitalOne’s worst branches. In the many years since the branch opened, I’ve been routinely harassed for having an out-of-state driver’s license (the address matches the address on my account!), or just being there in the first place. A teller once chastised me for coming to the bank to get the certified check for my rent. There is always a broken ATM, and there are never enough tellers. They know when people are coming to get checks or cash checks every month and yet they are routinely understaffed. I used to think the post office on Empire Avenue is where dreams went to die, but now I know it’s here, waiting to see a teller.

Datan Molo1Horrible. Security bullies around. Teller can just deposit your money and that it. Useless as can be. I am upset I even have an account with them ...such abuse there . They treat you like animal...m

Malik Ken1I work for Corrections and a location, near Rykers Island, where i go to to make deposits for my wife into her account..have no problems but when i go to the hood like this location they ask more info (when making a deposit for my wife, no problem in her giving to me); otherwise make deposit at the Atm. Just a black teller racially profiling another black person This Branch needs to be careful, everything is documented and reviewed possibly affecting your business based on reviews

Amanda Wright5I had a great experience at this location this afternoon. I stopped in 15 minutes before closing so I expected the teller helping me to be rushed or impatient, but Raj was friendly, focused, and very good at his job. I had a bit of a complicated request and he was so helpful. I’ll definitely come back to this location again.
Response from the ownerRaj is great, huh? We'll be sure to pass the kudos along. ^MS

Afrikan Maame1The employees need to give the same RESPECT to everyone who lives in the area. The way the workers treat people as they come in. The staff attitudes towards some from what I've seen is distasteful. When you show them your not dumb and shouldn't be treated as such. They give you a bS apology and try to rush you out the door. Very sad
Response from the ownerThis certainly isn't the vibe for which we strive & we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Rest assured, we've doc'd this review to get in front of the right eyes so your voice is heard. ^NW

malea s.3The employees don't wear mask or practice social distancing . Even the security guard was told by 3 customers he needed to have a mask on and he laughed. One customer walked in with no mask at all and he was not reminded of the NO MASK policy posted on the entrance to the bank. The highest number of covid19 deaths was amongst black people and this bank location has a high number of black people as customers and employees. It's very irresponsible of Capital One Bank.I rarely go into the lobby, but I had to recently and I was very uncomfortable.
Response from the ownerThe health, safety and well-being of our customers, associates and communities is our top priority. We take your experience very seriously, and we've made sure to share this concern with branch leadership. Thank you for taking the time to let us know what occurred. ^VS

Ezel Shami4I like Capital One Bank and also the workers thy are friendly and helpful but at this location and it's new branch thy needs more staff to serve the customer faster on both side with tellers and bankers. And also the needs to fix there ATM machine sometime thy are out of service.

Kevin Mulcahy Jr1This recent addition to the neighborhood seemed like an upgrade on paper but beware: - 4 other customers waiting to open an account when I arrived; at most 2 were served in the 70 minutes I wasted waiting for service - no information or paperwork offered to get us started while we wait - we could see two staff wandering about and daydreaming but not helping any customers After more than an hour I was over it, and now I'm writing from TD Bank, also newly constructed and so far, so good.
