Capital One Bank Reviews

Joel Nunez1The worst experience I’ve ever had in a bank!!!! 4 times there and I won’t go anymore. Expecting to wait at least 40-45 minutes in line. Only 2 tellers and the take ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD. They don’t think about the client. This branch should be CLOSED

Paul Fevola1The wait here is ridiculous!! People in line walking out left and right. None of the tellers have any sense of urgency. I wish they would stop closing locations around the state but this particular branch is horrible. Definitely withdrawing everything and using a different bank.

Andrew2This is even being generous. Not customer friendly at all. Came in on a Friday needing copies of my statement for something important. Had to wait 20 min to begin with. It is Friday and this is a bank, right? When someone finally found the time to get to me, was told if they print statements for me it's at least $5+? Then the guy smiles like I have the issue. How bout people are busy and can't get to it? Is that possible? And people that might not want to be charged because they prefer in person banking? Coming from someone in customer service nearly 20 years and during a time where customer service is top priority I think it's time to find a new bank. Also a former wells Fargo customer. As many problems as they had, they never charged for statements.
Response from the ownerHey Andrew, thanks for taking the time to share feedback with us. Fridays are peak time for us at the branch so you may wait a little longer. We make the last 18 months of statements available via online banking for you to review and print. Statements that we do reprint are $5 per statement. Thanks. ^AB

Paul K1Worst bank I have ever been to in my life. They move like turtles. Middle of the day and their is a line out the door. Closing all my accounts with them. No wonder why they keep shutting these down.

STEVE TRYGAR1Worst bank I’ve ever been to. Lines are absurdly long and tellers are incompetent. 9 people in line and two of the tellers are not taking customers. Only one of them doing anything and has been with the same customer for 25 mins. This bank is the worst I’ve ever seen

D Rod1If I could give 0 stars I would. How is it possible no matter what day or time you go to that branch only two people are working?!?! It's a disgrace not to mention they are not nice at all. You close the East Brunswick branch and then do nothing to help your customers. I will never suggest this bank to anyone

Melissa Ward1Horrible customer service. The manager was not wearing a name tag. They asked for a debit card from another bank account in order to cash a check drawn off capital one. They asked for my ssn# and wanted my idenity further then a D.L. even aftwr verified with the account owner by phone. The account owner wasnt happy with their manors when verifing the check was issued. They made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I recently cashed check at wells fargo and bank of america through a pandemic they did not require this much personal information. I felt like someone was trying to take my idenity and i felt as thoigh i was a fraud. I would never bank with capital one im currebtly enrolled with bank of america HASSLE FREE!!! Lower fees and much better customer service. Not once did i feel uncomfortable like i did at this location. I hope the manager with no name tag gets fired

Steven Pawson4had to open and change some accounts for my family. the associate was friendly and helpful. the branch itself is very modern and clean. I like how it's similar to a lounge and not a waiting room. the location is annoying is you're coming from rt1 north but otherwise this seems like a solid branch
Response from the ownerHey Steven - Relaxation is key here. Happy to hear your visit was A+ :) ^AJS

ben luckman1idk if its this branch or all capital ones but the service is slow and bad. Waited online or close to 30 mins to deposit 20 pounds of change and they wouldn't let me do it without my ID. After I left I called support and they let me close my account over the phone. Strange I didn't need ID for that
