Please do not do business with them. They will take money out your account and take forever to process payments. Not only that but they never answer the phone. I wish i could give them zero stars. Please save yourself the drama and headache and dont do business with them. They will make your life a living hell.

Total predatory loaners, I bit the bullet since I didn't have a co-signer and went for the bogus loan @ 23.81% interest rate, just so you know 24% is illegal.... Further their electronic payment systems are all terrible and as an IT engineer, painfully dealing with these I can tell you that they make their payment systems in a way that they constantly break on you and return payments so that they can play games with late fees and penalties. I used the web portal for the first 9-10 months and all of a sudden I was having to password reset every my month for the next 6 months. Upon realizing that this seemed incredibly lame, or rather a racket to make money, I changed to the phone app. SAME STORY.... After about 9 months, again games start up.... all of a sudden I was getting payments returned up to 2 weeks later and then hit with penalties and late fees. These crooks, actually seem to claim that I always owe them money even though I am always caught up. I literally walked into their branch bank with over 10k cash to pay the loan off as they were calling me telling me that I owed them well over 3 months worth of payment and you guessed it, late fees and penalties. So upon entering the bank, they make a phone call and low and behold they tell me that I only owe the current month. That was literally a month ago. I look on my phone to pay this month, which I did 3 times because it kept returning payments. Finally the payment kept but my account claims that I still owe 2 months. DON"T TRUST THIS INSTITUTION THEY ARE RUNNING SCAMS AND PREDATORY LOANS! I had to give one star to leave feedback, it's far too much. If you like getting ripped off these are your folks! BEWARE! I now pay all payments in person at a local branch, really lame.

We sent a large payment to go towards our pay-off and after over two weeks still not posted. We then called over a week ago and they said they have had it in the Plano damage department. This is bad business holding a payment to allow interest to build up. When we called we were assured the payment would this last week. Still not posted

Worst service I have EVER received when obtaining a loan! I have been given the runaround, been bamboozled and lied to! Promises were made but not kept. Just like a shady used car dealer they said one thing but did another. Then they promised to fix mistakes but never did. Then when I gave them a scathing review on their automated survey they called me back months later and actually listened to my story, apologized and promised to "look into it" and follow up with me. Guess what? I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN! I'm sure there is a lot of bureaucratic incompetence here but when you promise more than once to take actions to correct things but you don't that makes you unethical liars!

Pros: Cut my interest rate in half. Great online services compared to other lenders that I've used. Cons: Months later and I am still trying to get the paperwork straightened out with them.

I was rear-ended in an auto accident on 1/20/18, which was also my daughter's wedding day. Thankfully, my injuries did not prevent me from walking her down the aisle. But the month since then has been a complete nightmare. It took Geico 2 weeks to say their client was liable, then another week to say the vehicle was totaled, then a week of fighting with them on the value of the car. They overnighted the pay off check to your Monterrey Park office on Wednesday, made an error and sent it to a PO box, so it didn't get there until this morning.I spoke with the call center, and a supervisor there and now I'm being told it will take 3-5 business days to process it and there is no way to expedite it. What was the point of sending it overnight then? Meanwhile tomorrow is the only day my wife and I have the same day off to go car shopping, but will get penalized with a higher APR because of this, and Geico is pressuring me on returning the rental car they are paying for. It seems everyone wants me to jump through hoops to get things done quickly, but when I expect someone else to, it can't be done. I am very unhappy about this, to the point where I might not use Capital One for any financial needs in the future. We have made on time payments since we got the loan, and now we just want to get a new car. I will be posting this to yours and my social networking pages. Can someone please look into this and possibly help us today? I would be eternally grateful and tell everyone what a great bank you are to work with, both in personal & social network connections.

Paying for my financing was not an issue, obviously. However, getting my lien release for the vehicle once I paid it off was an extremely poor experience. They lied to me about when they mailed my lien release on 3 occasions over the phone, which I confirmed with my state DMV, during a time I needed to show my vehicle as an asset (i.e. if you're applying for another loan, this would affect you). I ended up paying for them to overnight ship my lien release. When I spoke with my DMV as well as another bank lender about the lien on my vehicle, they said the release wasn't issued by Capital One until the day before. Capital One originally told me it was released 3 weeks prior and shipped 3 different times - none of it was true, never received a single copy of the release from those instances, and nothing happened until I had them ship it at my expense. For most people this would be a small issue, but I needed to prove the lien was off my car and they lied and dragged their feet for no apparent reason. I have no idea why they weren't just up-front with the process and why they told me several falsehoods when I could easily prove with a call to my DMV that it wasn't true. Would not use them again for a loan based on the service; lying to your customer is beyond unethical.

Be aware: When you pay off your auto loan, Capitol One will take 2 full weeks to "process" your lien release and send it to your state's DMV. Further, they don't tell you until it's too late, but you can pay it off with a DEBIT CARD of all things and they'll release the title in 5 days. If you are selling your car, that means your buyer will be sitting there for 2-3 weeks until you get your title... thanks to terrible customer service in the title department at Capitol One. I paid this off directly from my bank account and they sat on it for 2 weeks, in spite of the fact they had been paid off on day 1. Terrible customer service and now my buyer has been sitting waiting for this title for the better part of a month.
