It was my first time buying a car, and Elvira helped me out with getting per-approved for an auto loan through Canvas. She was absolutely amazing and so helpful during this process. It was my first time applying for an auto loan and she made the process so easy and very informative. She is an outstanding person to work with and in my opinion an outstanding employee with Canvas. Anyone looking for loans or other banking needs through Canvas should most definitely work with her! She is professional and takes the time to get to know who she is working with, which makes the process even more positive. Look forward to working with Elvira again in the future!

The credit union continues to add rules that make it more difficult to do business. For example, they limit how far out you can pay a bill. This is terribly convenient if you are trying to pay Real estate taxes in installments. They started limiting how much money can be transferred from an external bank into Canvas. The clerks and managers are polite, but they are powerless to solve simple issues. I have already cancelled my business account and will now transition by personal account out of the credit union.

Every time I go to this branch everyone is incredibly helpful. I also give a separate 5 stars to TJ who was so kind and personable and made my trip to the bank as enjoyable as a trip to the bank can be.

I've always had great experiences here with friendly tellers. I've also had great help from a manager clearing up some confusion and remedying an issue I had, which I appreciated.

I've held a Canvas business account for just over two years with them, and I cannot begin to describe how poor customer service and relationships this branch of Canvas offers their customers. I've been spoken to incredibly rudely by their loan officer Mandi and a handful of tellers. I've sat down with multiple managers at this branch about the issues they create with my business and their "policies that they say are enforced by their bosses, which is not true when you can go to another branch and don't experience them. My advice to any Canvas member is to avoid this branch because all it takes is going to the Lemay or Council Tree branch to avoid the headache they create for their members.

As someone who works in the banking industry I know how important it is to treat tellers and loan officers etc. nicely. I also know what good customer service looks like. This review isn’t even from a personal experience but I am so outraged at how this branch has treated my boyfriend, that something needs to be done. He opened an account with Canvas almost exactly a month ago. That being said, he and I both understand that with new accounts especially, checks are more likely to be placed on hold. He is respectful about that, as he should be. I know he has needed $100 of a large check released a few times because we both live paycheck to paycheck and every SINGLE time he has been to this location (not the one off Lemay because they have great customer service) they treat him with impatience, condescension, and overall like he is unwelcome there. Today after he finally stood up for himself and said he was going to call corporate, you know what the assistant branch manager had to say for himself? “Go ahead. I don’t care!” Benjamin, you and the majority of your tellers are a poor excuse for a Credit Union and I will do everything in my power to spread the word what a horrible organization you are.

I had heard so many good things about credit unions from people and it seemed like a good idea to go local for my business account, but now I question their judgement. I have only been with these guys since they’ve been Canvas and I regret the decision. I don’t know what Public Service Credit Union was like, but I’ve had better phone customer service, better apps/web/technology by a landslide, and an overall better experience with nationwide banks.

I went in to open an account this morning - I was greeted warmly when, given some information about the accounts they offer. Had the best cup of bank coffee I've ever had, waited five minutes, then worked with Jim opening my account. He was kind, informative, and didn't spend too much time describing services I wasn't interested in. Wonderful experience.

Is this even an actual bank? They can't seem to keep a correct ledger of balances, correctly process payments or distinguish correctly between account balances and available credit lines. Frontline staff are not empowerd to solve any normal problem. I'm writing this review while waiting for them because they can't figure out how to close my account even with the branch manager. This is their basic checking.... literally the worst financial institution I've ever dealt with.

This bank and its service has just gotten worse with time. The utter ineptitude and lack of desire to remedy anything beyond simple transactions is appalling. Debit card number stolen? Most any other institution would have standard operating procedure towards quick and swift resolution. Their SOP? You need to call and do our jobs, and were only available during banking hours. Need to talk to someone at your local branch via phone? Sorry not possible. It's hard for us to come up with much of any reason to stay with this credit union.
