My good friend has been a member at this institution for his whole life. As I understand it, he has never had any real problems. However, recently he was a victim of a credit card scam, and consequently lost all of his savings. This was immediately reported to both the bank, the FTC, the police, and other interested parties. It appears that the fraud team at Canvas Credit Union did not flag, or stop this suspicious activity. When he went to speak with the fraud team about the transaction, he was met with accusations of being involved in the scam. Instead of taking care of a life-long member, this institution, without any reasonable basis, accused him of being a criminal. I have encouraged him to file a complaint with regulatory agencies and I hope he pursues it. As far as I'm concerned, the way Canvas Credit Union handled this situation is a testament to their priorities. I would never bank here.

If I could give a zero star rating, I would. I literally called last week to one of the branches explained my financially situation and told the lady I could make a payment on my car this week or next and she understood and said my car loan was at 30 days (when I called) and they don’t review for repo until 61 days well today my car got repo’d so f canvas.

ATM is always glitching so make sure you get a receipt. I opted out of overdraft coverage so that I wouldn't get charged fees but they end up charging the same overdraft fee just for the attempt. So I might as well opt in!

Went in on a Friday afternoon to try and open a checking account. I already have a loan account with them, and just needed a checking. After waiting in line for 20 min for help. The lady told me. Don't you see how busy we are, can't you come back another day??? Basically telling me she didn't want to help me today. She suggested I make an appointment next week to make sure I get helped.

I've been doing business with this branch since they were Public Service Credit Union however the service has gone completely downhill since Canvas took over. It has reached a point where I no longer feel comfortable doing any further business with this credit union. In July 2021 I was attempting to purchase a vehicle. I was told by the Arvada branch I did not need any copies of the seller's DL or title since they would be bringing all of that to closing so I drove 3 hours each way to go look at the car. Low and behold they can't process my loan without a copy of each and I was unable to reach the seller before the end of the business day to request copies from them. This delayed purchasing the car by a couple days and I almost lost the opportunity to buy it. Luckily the seller was willing to work with me. When I closed my loan, I was never told what my actual payment was, when the due date was, what my interest rate is or any of the general terms of the loans. All I had post-closing was a pre-approval letter, a bill of sale and a letter for the DMV for temp tags. I made my first payment by guessing when it might be due. My second payment I was receiving text messages saying it was late. Public Service used to do a 10-day grace period on all my loans but nobody can ever confirm or deny if there is a grace period with Canvas. I went in to the Arvada branch to make a second payment. Today I received an e-mail congratulating me for my credit card application. I never authorized or consented to this kind of application. In fact, I specifically declined stating I do not need or want any more credit cards. I expect this kind of behavior from Wells Fargo, NOT my Credit Union!!! I am very disappointed with the service of Canvas lately. It's enough to make me consider paying or transferring my loan in full and closing all my accounts as soon as possible. Frankly I do not trust this branch or this credit union in general any longer. Be wary when doing business with this institution.

Horrible since changing to Canvas should have changed their name to MORE FEES I deposited a 5 figure check in my account it made 1700 available immediately and stated the rest would be available the next day well its 3 days later and emailed them twice with one response saying there was an additional hold without ever notifying me. I explained that my rent is due and it didn't seem to matter. Get human

The staff is super friendly and I was even greeted by the branch manager Akeeley!! I enjoyed our interaction, it made me feel like this is a great place. The staff was knowledgeable, and Jocelyn asked and answered all my questions. I felt good about my finances and was ensured my finances are in good hands. I highly recommend!

This place is too busy for new customers. I have came in to open an account. They told me to have a seat and someone will be there in a min. 30 min later I am still sitting in a chair . I would not do business with these folks.

I do love Canvas for all my Financial needs, but all the constant updates for the app that never loads even after the update is the most annoying thing ever. I am highly considering leaving the credit union just because the app flat out sucks and it has for years now. None of my other banks or credit unions have this problem.
