  Not a very good pawn shop in my opinion. It’s cheap, pictures on google are outdated they really don’t take anything too expensive or designer!!! Wouldn’t sell anything there

  Not hard to conduct good honest business, took in 2 18k gold chains over 84 grams total weight I asked for a 2500 loan more than fair. One was white gold one was yellow gold. The worker claimed and so swore they were 14k even after testing it he said it marked 14k I know they were 18 I’ve pawned them before. I took them down the street to another pawn shop right away he knew they were 18k without even testing he then tested and of course they were in fact 18k. Needless to say another customer was there with a watch they claimed was not authentic and he was able to also secure a loan on it for 4,000$ at this pawn shop down the street. Here is a photo of the pawn ticket so everyone can see. Please, for the sake of just knowing there’s still good people in this world just stop ripping people off and giving them false information. Worse part was browns claimed to have been doing this for 30 years, that’s kind of scary to think that for over 30 years they’ve been doing this

  🚨B-E-W-A-R-E!!!! I never took action against these people, because I had no pics and no way to prove it. But a good 10yrs ago I took a gold charm bracelet to pawn. A few days later when I picked it up, I realized something was wrong when back in my car, it slid off my wrist. It had been completely fitted just days before. Upon closer inspection, I realized every single heart had been removed and replaced into a cheaper quality bracelet. The hearts were mangled at the top, where the loop attached to the bracelet. I rushed back in and told them someone had switched the bracelet. It was a bracelet I had brought from Romania. I was in tears and they kicked me out. BEWARE.

  I am curious as to your post. You pawned it ten years ago and are writing this review now or you pawned it a second time just recently? Are you sure you have the right Brown’s Jewelry and Loan? We are in Rosemead. There is another one in Whittier. Which day did this happen? I have had no customer with your name in our computer based records in the last 10 years come in and ask about a bracelet bring switched. We have been in business for 60 years. We have a loan agreement with every detail from weight to description of every item pawned. As the customer gets a loan, they sign an agreement of that loan description and receive a copy. All you have to do is tell them to weigh the bracelet and you will know if it’s not the right one. Can you provide more details of the pawnbroker that helped you? Please make an appointment with me and we can go over your loan. I’d appreciate you removing the one star.

  Great experience. Pawned items several times there when I've been in a jam. Cool even if I've been a few day's late on a payment. One time I was so late they actually had to pull my guitar and equip off the shelves. Just charged me a few bucks for the late fee instead of over $500 in buying my stuff back. I've got nothing but great things to say about them.

  I have been buying from Brown's since 2003. That speaks volumes about, their integrity, customer service and the desire to be sincere. They have a pirates chest of beautiful jewelry. Sometime I have been known to buy 3 items at a time. They also have a wide variety of tools, musical instruments, designer handbags, etc. Lori has such a good eye for design she helps me think of different ways to make something I have fallen in love with work. For example, I just purchased a vintage diamond and ruby bow. It is a pin. She suggested to let her take it to her jeweler in DT LA and make it a slide. Done deal. I would never have thought of that. I get to pick it up this week. Lori has many contacts and I have my sterling silver rhodium plated so it will never tarnish. Some white gold pieces I have had plated in 14k yellow gold and vis-a-versa. I also take other pieces of jewelry that have broken and brought them in to be sent out and fixed. Brown's is family owned and since day 1 I have felt like a family member. When I go there I always spend about 2 hours. Before you go to the mall go to Brown's. You will be so happy you did!!!!

  Did some Christmas shopping here and got the BEST deals for my $$ So much to choose from, it was hard to make up my mind but I got everything I needed, one thing for each person :-) you would think I went to an expensive store I’m so glad that I came here. I’ve had to borrow money here before so it was nice to actually come spend some instead, I know they are a family business and I trust them. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  Best pawn experience ever! Friendly and fair... very lenient when you're late and my stuff came back just as good as when i left it! They have even helped me out with stuff they weren't taking at the time... they are the 1st placebo go when in a bind. I HIGHLY recommend this shop!!!
