  I wish I could give a six star review to Benchmark Mortgage, the Greenville branch! Getting approved a loan and going through the house buying process is not easy, however, Benchmark makes it as smooth as possible. All of the staff at Benchmark are kind and so helpful, specifically Thomas, Erika, Bobby, and Holden! They will answer any question you have, even if you have already asked the question before and just need more clarification. Thank you Benchmark for everything and we highly recommend to anyone!

  I have used Benchmark Mortgage twice now (once for home purchase and once for refinance) and they were excellent both times! I just refinanced my home with the help of Thomas Ray and it could not have been easier. I barely had to do anything other than sign papers and show up at closing. Thomas and Bobby took care of everything quickly and efficiently, keeping me updated at each step of the process. I highly recommended them!

  My situation was a bit difficult due to buying from a family friend however there were a few things that could’ve went a little better . My lock was extended twice due to them telling me my down payment was going to be way higher than originally agreed upon only to tell me a couple days before closing we only needed the initial DP we agreed upon from the start . Loan office was not thourough in communication which left us out of the loop on most things going on throughout our loan process . Loan officer also proceeded to tell us that he was only getting paid half commision on our loan multiple times which made us feel like he did not appreciate our business . If we could do it all over again we would’ve went elsewhere , not to mention the seller got cut over a thousand dollars . Was very disappointed in the whole process from start to finish after hearing great things about benchmark . Hopefully this review will help in the future .

  We are so sorry your experience was not better. Complex deals with a lot of moving parts can be challenging. With deals between friends and without realtor representation, a lot of things become harder to be streamlined the way we process other deals. Again, our sincere apologies for your poor experience.
