  If you need something for a home repair project, do yourself a favor and check out their tools. There is a good chance you can get high end items at VERY reasonable prices. I have literally purchased items here that were priced better than renting the same item. Same goes for instruments, amps etc. Check them out.

  I had bought some handguns from GrabAGun & shipped to Bayou State Pawn for transfer & they guys were great. Very quick & I was in & out in no time at all. They are very friendly & helpful. Will be using them again soon. Thanks.

  I purchased a 14kt gold bracelet for my fiancee here, before paying i I requested links to be taken out, the lady told me I could come in to pick it up on Tuesday (this was a Saturday). On my arrival to pick up the bracelet I noticed that the two links were not in the box, so I asked if I could have them since I did already purchase the bracelet in its entirety. I was told no, that I would have to pay a separate $40 for the links since I wasn't charged a repair fee for having the links taken out!! This was not my first time purchasing jewelry but surely the first time I've encountered a "policy" such as this.

  Went in Fri(12-22-17) with my fiance to look an engagement/wedding rings, we unknowingly arrived at closing time & offered to leave and return the following sat morning but the lady nice enough to still let us look at some rings so we did but with only minutes to make such a decision we decide go back the following sat morning which is now yesterday morning(today is Christmas eve)so we look at it again & with my stomach empty & in knots I tell my ol man let's go eat & come back so we did except when we get back the lady Carolyn Walker has an really crappy awful attitude with me for No reason. she jerks the ring out of from my hand as I was handing it to her & just has a snarky condescending attitude towards me so I try to lighten the tension by paying her a compliment & I tell her they have some of the prettiest jewelry in Lafayette & instead of a thank you she responds with "I know, you ain't gotta tell me something I already know!!" By this point im thinking B**ch, F**k you & your ring but my fiance is unaware of her attitude towards me & he looks so excited & happy so I just go ahead & say yes to the ring I liked, we get home & realize that one little spot on one side of it is kinda tarnished(hard to see in the intentionally very dim lighting they have in the jewelry area). That can be fixed no problem but point is is that not only did she totally ruin the excitement of the buying experience for me I believe they probably lied about the metal of the ring supposedly platinum and probaby the weight of the 3/4 ct.stone too but given the price we paid which wasn't cheap, I'm sure it has to have some legitimacy. But as far as customer service, it's a lesson learned.. walk TF out when they start getting rude. I will still cherish this ring though because it's from my mans heart and his love for me and that's all that matters to me.

  Would give zero stars if possible. Don't waste your time here. I've had brand new electronics get refused because of a non existent remote. Had a $200 air humidifier get turned away because of a remote that doesn't even come it with it. Also witnessed a man with a brand new baby stroller get turned away because of a literal dot sized stain. The stroller's tires still had a perfect tread to them. Yet they gave some junkie $60 for a piece of metal that I witnessed him dig out of a trash can. I've seen this guy many times there getting $10-50 for any little piece of metal he could find while people with actual valuable items get turned down for bs like a remote or for the tiniest of stains.

  I've been coming here for a few years great staff very nice people. I always get great service and prices. I've been to many pawn shops in the Lafayette & Houston area they are the best . Thanks to all of you !!!
