  Why do the tellers act like primitive gatekeepers to my money, taking 3x as long as the outside ATM, sizing you up the whole time, not recognizing they serve me?

  Bank of the West is by far the best bank I have ever done business with. I have been in Business since 1981 and have used a variety of banks. They are friendly and efficient and take time to understand your business.

  If I could give less I would. I left US bank after 14 years with them to join accounts with my wife at Bank of the West. Went and joined on her account the told me 5-7 business days till I get my card. I waited 12 business days and never got my card. I called and was told it was never ordered so had to wait 5-7 more business days. Of course it took 2 weeks till I got it after 2nd try. So took 26 business days to get my card. Then I got it and cant use it they never sent me my pin for the card. I called and told wait 3-4 days to get the pin sent to me and NOTHING. I called the 1-800 number like paper says to do if I don't get it and the lady on the phone tells me nothing she can do I have to go to a branch. This is by far the worst bank ever. Do not ever bank with them. It has cost me time and money because of their mistakes and they don't care about customers...

  Well it really saddens me to say, but after seven years of banking here I will be looking for a new bank as of tomorrow. The Tellers are great, I mean really great! But the management is not near what it was! Not even close! The 800 number was always terrible, but when I opened my accounts there the management told me that if I had a problem to go to them, because the 800 numbers agents were clueless! And believe me, That still stands today! I own a small business. I pay most of my Vendors through BillPay! Twice in the last year my vendors did not get their checks that i paid through billpay. That is mostly understandable. What is not is my bank not taking the action to tell my vendors that I did make the payment and taking some of the responsibility for the non payment. Today I get a late payment notice on a loan that was supposed to have been paid of last month. This particular loan was an automatic debit from my account every month. Well after 25 minutes in the branch she told me(And this was a teller) that the account was paid in full. I then asked if she seen a charge on my account for it? She could not! I then went home and called. After I don't even remember how long, but it was awhile, they informed me that the bank should have informed me that the last payment has to be made in person. He could not tell me why, but we all know it is to sell you another loan. He then informed me that they past dated the payment so I was not responsible for the late charge. I informed my bank of this and that they should have let me know this, but they had no clue! Again the clerks are great, but the management if you can call it that sucks! I don't know about you, but being a small business person, I do not have it seems the time everyday to keep up. And when your own bank is continually taking up your time for things they are doing wrong? Pretty much a no brainer!! Good luck Bank Of The West! Mike, Desert West Tree and Landscape, Inc.

  I was refused service @ 11:40 by Laura at Orange Grove Branch, she said she has another customer a head of me and they close at noon. No service for me today even though I waited for 10 minutes before Laura called me to inquire, I was in the bank at 11:30 am. I believe a customer is entitled to service if they come in before close. Sorry still have to give one star cause there is no zero star option.

  This branch is the worst! EVERY time I have to use this branch it is a pain in the ass, whether it’s a personal account or a business account it doesn’t matter. It took over 5 hours to change my name on my account. The staff is substandard.

  10-2-2015 I WENT INTO THE ORANGE GROVE THORNYDALE BRANCH AND THE STAFF WERE VERY RESPONSIVE AND ACCOMMODATING. I HAD BEEN DEALING WITH NATIONAL BANK OF ARIZONA FOR OVER 13 YEARS AND CORPORATE DECIDED TO NOT ONLY STOP FREE CHECKING OVER THE YEARS THEY DECIDED TO RAISE THE RATE 40 PERCENT FOR MONTHLY FEES-- I DO NOT LIKE THEIR DECISION SO ON 10-21-2015 I WENT AND DECIDED TO OPEN AN ACCOUNT @ BANK OF THE WEST AND KAREN JACOME AND JOSEPH FARR WERE HELPFUL AND MADE THE TRANSITION EASY.
