Bank of the West Reviews

Edgar Gonzalez1My 9 yr old daughter had been collecting loose change to buy her little sister a birthday present and today we went to Ponder Bank, since we own a business down the street from them, to change the coins. We went up to the teller to change the coins and she had stated we need to roll what we could, so we did. 15 minutes later approached the teller again to inform here we were ready. We had tallied a total of $10.35 worth of coins but when we handed her the coins she stated that she was just informed that she could not take the coins unless we had an account with them. I get that, but don't understand how a bank can deny a little girl the opportunity to change her saved coins for cash.

Andrea Bennington5I have been banking with Bank of the West in Ponder for just over 6 years now. This branch has a small yet gorgeous on the inside building located on the main road through town. When you walk inside it looks spacious due to the high ceilings and open concept lobby. Bank of the West is a quintessential hometown type bank in that whenever I’m inside, I hear most every customer being greeted by name by the tellers and on their electronic sign in front of the bank, they sometimes announce local town/school events. Some things I love about this bank: I love that they keep the a/c on ice cold in the Summer, I love the cleanliness of the ladies room. I love the huge comfortable leather sofa and chairs they have for you to wait in if you have to wait for a banker or to get into your safety deposit box, etc...I love that they have nice books for children to look at when they have to wait with you (most children are not interested in watching CNN or MSNBC, LOL), I love the friendliness of all of the tellers, I love that cashier’s checks are free when you have a checking and saving’s account. I like this bank so much that I have 3 different financial products with them (if you include safety deposit boxes as a product). I can’t think of anything I would change about this bank with one exception; if they handed out freshly baked cookies on Fridays like my old bank does, it would make for a perfect bank!

Sherry Fritz1I'm sure this is just fine for the locals, but it is NOT a "real" BNP Paribas Bank of the West.
