Bank of Hawaii Reviews

Ronald J Smith3UPDATE TO ATM PROBLEM. I'm out of the country so some time has past, but before I left Bank of Hawaii Did Refund me the lost money. They were never able to tell me they found it or not. Because there atm counter wasn't available. So luckily in my case they helped me out and fixed MY problem. So for that I'll I give the help line 3 stars, yes they refunded, but was not easy. Hours and hours on calls to many different people for a few weeks. But as far as the faulty ATM I can only say to those who deposit cash avoid this pahoa branch atm. I've never had to many problems with bank of hawaii. Been with them for over 3 years now. I put 1 star because the atm is messed up. I've seen there atm multiple times with a message error or atm is temporary unavailable. Its never been a problem for me personally until today. I have a bad habit of depositing cash to atm's. Today was the day the atm took my money and then it CRASHED. The atm was processing the cash deposit for about 1 minute when suddenly the atm shut down completely. It then rebooted after several minutes with the message "this atm is currently unavailable". So I called BofA customer service. They emailed this branch about what happened and I should receive a call tomorrow. Well the reason for my deposit was so I can pay my phone bill it's due tonight. The deposits was for $269 (the rest of the cash I had on me to last for food/gas/ and to pay phone bill). I don't get paid until friday so phones not getting paid. Can't receive call from bank. I work from 6am get off work 330pm from pepeekeo. Bank closes at 4pm. Gosh I'm really screwed! So that's where I stand is of tonight. As soon as something happens whatever that might be, I will update this review accordingly. I've personally witnessed this happen to another lady several months ago at the very same atm. Just thought man that sucks for her. But only now do I know how much it does suck! The guy after me told me he too has had problems with that very same pahoa branch atm. So its pretty clear to me this outdated windows system needs to be updated. Attached are just some of the pics of the screen as it was doing its whole trip. At this point I was more focused on calling BofA and was after atm was booting back up did I think to take pics. So once again I will revise this review with what happens and how bank of hawaii handles this situation.

Troy Plowman1Made a cash deposit of $1000 on Friday at the Pahoa Branch of Bank of Hawaii.. Amount did NOT appear in the account on Monday. Very concerned, I called the branch and was on hold over 40 minutes with NO response. ALSO the BoH Mastercard information is NEVER correct on the website. Pathetic. AVOID Bank of Hawaii.

Patrick Collins5H.F.S. credit union members can withdraw cash up to $300 a day at any Bank of Hawaii A.T.M. without fees. I use this atm all the time, most memorable was1am after a breakdown and the lateshift towtruck driver only accepted cash.super glad it was there. First Hawaiian bank next door charges atm fees (around $2) for H.F.S. customers

J Luther1This information is not true. A Hilo branch has been open for 4 months while the pahoa branch posts this misinformation on the front door the whole time. Maybe they should post the directions to the branch in Hilo that is open. Instead they would leave you believing all the branches have been closed for months? Not who I want looking after my money.
