Bank of Colorado Reviews

Anti Gallery1The bankers here will leave a sour taste in your mouth. I have been banking in Colorado For nearly 20 years. And I have been with the Bank of Colorado for that 20 years. But every time I go to The branch on Harmony they are some of the most unpleasant and unhelpful bankers of any Bank of Colorado I have been too. It could be considered out of the way but if you need to visit a branch in person make sure it is the one on College or the one on Lincoln.

Wild Rose1I have been banking here for about 15 years. Always had a lovely staff but now it’s pretty terrible. I dread having to bank with them and will be switching soon. Extremely unpleasant staff, specifically the woman at the desk right as you come in. Ask the staff anything, including the manager, and you'll be treated as an inconvenience, and talked to in a condescending tone. This place has unfortunately gone downhill. Save yourself the trouble.
Response from the ownerThanks for letting us know about your experience. If your interactions with our staff fall short of your expectations, we want to know. In order to address your concerns, we invite you to contact the branch President directly, 970-206-1160.

Ashen Pyres1My husband and I lost our baby this year and it's been devastating. The bank was not able to work with us when times got tough and contacts my husband frequently regarding fees we owe (1/3 of which are back fees). This is not a bank for anyone trying to start a life. Devastated.
Response from the ownerAshen, we are so terribly sorry to hear about your loss. While we cannot directly address any account related issues publicly, we have let the Branch President know about your experience and we invite you to contact Cody Fullmer directly. 970-206-1160.

John Kropp2Very disappointed that the data here on Google shows the drive through open until 5:30pm. This is not true, please update to reflect the actual closing time of 5:00pm.
Response from the ownerThank you for your feedback, John. Your experience at Bank of Colorado is very important to us.

Rox Mtz1After having expressed my frustration with multiple issues with my banking , the branch manager called me to threaten to close my account, she was so rude and unprofessional. I cannot believe that is how management handles themselves and treats customers. I actually had to say to her how I couldn't believe she'd call to threaten to close my account, because I had every right to be upset when my money was unavailable to me due to their error which should not be held against me .I would hope this type of behavior would be frowned upon in any business with accountability ,professionalism and simple common curtisiy being expected of the staff especially management. I have banked here for many years and had every right to feel as I did without fear of retaliation from the branch manager.
Response from the ownerThank you for your feedback. We have passed it along to management.

Alex Weber1I had an account with this bank for over 7 years. My wallet was stolen and my account was overdrafted. They refused to issue me a new debit card for months. When I finally was able to get back to work and pay my overdraft fees they closed my account a week later and refused to release over a $1000 in funds. This bank is not a safe place for minorities or working class people. It is an "upper class" bank and if you do not fit the criteria of such they will treat you like a second class citizen. Please use any other bank than them. They don't deserve your service anyways and will close your account for any reason they see fit at anytime. Heed my warning and save yourself a 7 year headache. Do not use.
Response from the ownerAlex – we understand you had a negative experience, and while we serve all our customers fairly and equally, when we fall short of their service expectations, we want to know. We’ve shared your concerns with the branch and they can provide more clarity around any actions taken on your account. For your privacy and security we cannot discuss account details here, but we would be happy to discuss over the phone. Please contact the Branch President directly at 970-206-1160. Thank you for your feedback.

Tylar Fry1Stopped in to cash a check from one of their accounts out of convenience rather than going to my bank. I’m a small business owner of two companies in Fort Collins so I get extra caution but I felt like a criminal there. “How dare I show up to cash a check without an account”. Not welcoming at all.
Response from the ownerTylar, thanks so much for letting us know about the experience you had! We always strive to serve everyone with the highest level of care whether they are a customer or not. We we fall short of that we want to know. Please contact our branch president Cody at 970-206-1160.

Nathan Froelich2BOC has some good people who work there, Matt has always been great but after closing our business account and accruing some fines that we didn't know about I was not able to get in touch with the right person after multiple attempts and no one else at the bank could help me. Frustrating after having multiple loans and our banking business with them for multiple years. So I just paid the fines in full and I won't likely work with BOC in the future.

Trent Leisy1This bank is very difficult to work with, you can't get ahold of anyone who will help you! Moving my business account to a different bank. I was told my business seemed like a "scam", thus they would not work with me on a business loan. No one in this branch or any other branch is remotely helpful. You can't even get ahold of the branch president. Pretty pathetic!
