I truly do not understand all of the negative reviews. I worked with Zach this morning on opening up a bank account with an international employee that I was supporting. He, and all staff along the way, were kind, patient, and answered every question we had. It did get fairly busy during late morning, but everyone was very attentive and willing to help however they could! Will definitely be coming back again in the future!

I've been a loyal Bank of America customer for the last 45 years. I don't know what has happened to this bank. Customer service has really gone downhill. The attitude of some their employees is unacceptable. Bank of America better pay closer attention to the seriously low ratings they're receiving from their customers. People will only put up with so much!

" Please use our Mobile App or our website to check the hours and services available in your area." should say " Please use your Magic 8 Ball or ouija board to guess the hours and services available in your area" Responding to your reply: I have no problem with changed hours and closings - it's COVID! I have a problem when your web stated hours are 9-4, and 9-4 is posted on your locked front door when I arrive at 2PM, along with the other six plus frustrated customers arriving and departing after trying the locked doors!

Seems that my previous review was removed. Anyway, my recent review of an 18 minute wait in the drive through has been removed. This also included details of the guy in the next line, who also waited about 15-18 minutes and never was able to complete his transaction. . Inside service is just as bad. I guess when you shut down 3 other branches, and funnel all of your customers into a single branch (with the worst parking), the tellers will be overwhelmed. . Anyway. Moving all of my business accounts, including merchant services to a competitor. Not an easy or quick task. New bank = setting up all new vendor accounts, automated payment processing, new merchant services, etc. Imagine the pain and the hours wasted... But now, nearing the end, so absolutely worth it. . If you are on James Island, don't even think about BoA, unless you really really like to spend your day sitting in the drive through line, or standing in the lobby, while the 1 (rarely 2) overworked teller pulls her hair out, and the "personal bankers" wander around, doing absolutely nothing.

Over 50 and have banked with Bank of America (a few name changes) 35+ yrs! NEVER in all of those years have I experienced BETTER Customer Care than Margaret provided! She's top notch! She's just inside the door on the left. She'll greet you with a smile. Ask to help. Exceed your expectations tenfold!!! I simply needed a direct deposit slip for work. She did a complete review of my account! She was both thorough and quick/efficient. She offered me great tips to better my experience with BOA. Went over online banking in an easy to understand way. I left feeling like I had a banker for life AND a new friend!!! I would have likely moved my business prior to meeting with Margaret, that afternoon! I looked like a mess. Quite frankly, my account was a mess! 😂 Margaret isn't one to judge! She's going to always treat everyone in the same, fabulous way!!! Kudos, Margaret! You deserve a bonus/raise!

Absolutely the worst service and unprofessional staff. I've had an account with BOA for 18 years and was informed that I was not authorized to use the account on Friday Dec 11th, 2020. I've been using this account for 18 years! I was in the drive thru and had to go inside the bank. I spoke with Randell who was clueless and could not offer an explanation. He said he was handling the account and would call on Monday. I worried all weekend and waited for a call on Monday. Guess who didn't call? Yep, Randell! How can a bank deny a customer the right to use their bank account? Why wasn't there anyone competent who could help me on Friday? Randell could care less and apparently BOA doesn't care either. This account will be closed and I will never set foot in another BOA again. The worst experience ever....and I'm still waiting for an explanation?!

Stopped in yesterday for a couple of business transactions. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I don’t go into the bank often. I was pleasantly surprised.

      Response from the owner

The business I manage does their banking here, as do my husband and I personally. I usually find good customer service at their various branches, however I will be going out of my way to avoid this location. After multiple visits of thinking I was being too judgmental about the staff's dismissive attitude an the fact that they often seem to think that chatting with other staff members is more important than customer service, I called the bank manager to let him know my about experiences. He was too busy to stop counting money in the machine while we were talking and didn't bother to ask my name. While he said he would address the "issues" I had brought up I felt like he was placating a toddler and was completely indifferent to the discussion we had. As a business manager, I would be completely mortified if my staff was to act this way, and make sure to take time for my guests who need to express their frustrations. It is not our privilege to go to their banking location, and yet they act as if their customers shouldn't expect the same level of care and service that Bank of America usually provides. Will be worth going downtown and dealing with traffic/lack of parking so as not to deal with this branch again.

The term “banking hours” means nothing to this location. I feel like they open whenever they decide they want to. It’s really hard to run a business using Bank of America these days. Please take your customers into consideration and if you say you’re opening 10 to 4 at least open the terrible hours of 10 to 4.
