Haggle Haus5I think this branch is run so professionally. Always greeted and treated kindly. It’s a great location close to Hen House so I do both errands at one time. The Manager was super helpful explaining my account options.

Info TCF5Inviting location. Friendly staff, competent service. Feel bad they work on Saturdays. Hope they’re paid extra but they’re probably not. 5 stars as far as banks go.

Diane Smith1For neighbors who are trying to do walk up banking at Bank Midwest at 87th and Lackman, forget it. My husband tried to make a deposit yesterday, but was bluntly told he could not make a deposit. He was not offered any alternative, such as "We aren't that busy, you could come in and make your deposit." He was told "this is corporate" and was also told you could not make a deposit on a bicycle, but a motorbike was ok. Really??? After 30 years of banking at this bank, we are changing banks. Yesterday's incident, along with poor customer service on a regular basis, and a constant parade of new employees, who unlike your ads say, don't have clue who we are. Bye, bye Bank Midwest.
Response from the ownerDiane, we'd like to hear more about this experience, especially who you spoke with. Can you give us a call at 800.867.2265?

Cecile O'Hara1If you like a bank that will consistently charge you fees with no remorse, this is your bank!!!!! I have had an account here for years and still do, but I have only kept it for the purposes of making my car payments and a couple of bills. I now bank at Community America and have been for a little over a year (and have nothing but good things to say about them). I literally have 3 bills that I pay out of this account and so I do not keep a large amount of money in it. I will admit, that because of this, I do not pay a lot of attention to this account and have incurred overdrafts due to my own absentmindedness. Totally will own that. But I have had things go through my account that shouldn't have and when I disputed them, I was told that I couldn't and nothing would be reversed. Although mad, I swallowed it and moved on. I had a couple of charges go through that I had cancelled with the company themselves and the companies even admitted that they were in the wrong (and reversed the charges) but Bank Midwest still refused to reverse any fees that I had incurred. Again, irritated but what's $20?! I spend that on an impulse buy of nail polish at Target... But I had something go through my account in August which caused me to overdraft and I didn't realize it. It was $33. Bank Midwest has charged my account $5 a day since. Just in the past 30 days, I have incurred $150 in fees (mind you, it's late-September so we're talking a total of over $300 in 60 days). When asked if any of those fees could be reversed, the bank manager refused. I should just start taking out payday loans at that rate. I mean, I guess if you can legally charge people like a payday loan shark but skip the jail time, why wouldn't you?!?! (If you haven't watched the Dirty Money KC episode, you absolutely should) And before you judge and think I'm trying to get something with this complaint, I have already made a deposit to bring my account back positive. I just want people to be aware of the kind of institution (and staff) that they are doing business with and what it might cost you. In hindsight, I wish I would have just moved my car loan and closed my account with Bank Midwest when I switched to Community America but my car is almost paid off so it's not worth the hassle at this point and therefore, I'm stuck. And their ATM is broken like once a month, so if you're trying to go use their ATM, go anywhere else because it's always down for a couple days at a time.

C Miro2We used to go to the branch by Oak Park Mall, but it's closed now. We had to go to the Lenexa branch for the first time the other day and met with a very rude 'personal banker.' Customer service is dead. And I have also had their ATM try to 'EAT' my debit card.

One day i came to the bank to change some cash, when i started to talk with woman, there was a man coming took my cash and went in the back( he said he take care for it). Let me wait almost 10 minute and told me need 10dollar more for even the money i want to change. No name on his shirt. Ignore all above that i want to said it “ That guy was not happy with his job. No smile with customer service. No name on his shirt. I even don’t know if he work there or not. His eyes look me like racist”.

Jeremy Winter1Bank manager is completely unhelpful. Not explaining things until after you are charged and have nothing. Tellers are very nice helpful people and previously used this location outside of her management.
