Dan Hogan4I was trying to mobile deposit checks and found out that this place has a 4-5k limit per rolling 30 days which is asinine, especially for a business account. My personal checking with another bank has that limit PER DAY. Why on earth would a bank want to make it harder for me to give them money is beyond me. I'll be considering other options to move my business account to. Update 3/4/2022 - Laura at Atlantic union bank reached out to me via a phone call and took care of upping the limit. Its nice to see a business being proactive as opposed to seeing a problem and asking for the individual to reach out through another means, like what was done here originally. Upped the rating as a result.

Jared Johnson1After having a personal account with Atlantic Union Bank for five plus years in a business account for about 6 months now I go to deposit my 16-year-old nephew's third party check which I already gave him the money for he signed the back of it I tried to deposit the $531 check and she tells me she can't deposit a third party check because he just signed it and didn't write payable too I think it's a little baffling that you're going to make somebody spend a good 4 hours driving out of his way all because my 16 year old nephew didn't put payable after the experience I just had I think I'm going to cancel both of my accounts and go somewhere else very unhappy and disappointing especially when I call customer service and they say it's at their discretion so basically the way I feel is I'm not important enough for them to do it for all banks that are under the name Atlantic Union Bank should have the same regulations and rules not from Branch to branch I was also suggested to try the other branches maybe one of them will

Leigha Barton1This morning we walked into the Forest Lakes Branch of Atlantic Union with a $27,000 check for my friend to open a new account with. Knowing not all funds would be released we made it very clear that because we were in desperate need of this money, if funds couldn’t be made available in part, we would just take the check to Chase where it was drawn from knowing they would. I myself have an account I opened in January and had been pleased up until today despite many others telling me different. The banker suggested we sign over and deposit the entire check into my account and that 5,000 would be made available and we could transfer some to the new account. So that is what we did around 10 am today. Got home packed up my three kids and a friend to get them out of the house since we have all been cooped up. Get a call at 2pm as we are driving down the interstate in the rented car to the hotel we reserved only to find out every penny we have is now FROZEN for the next ELEVEN days!!! Not much food in the house to begin with cause it’s all been GONE for days from the stores I now have no idea how I’m gonna feed the three heart broken kids who thought they were going to the beach. How does this happen? How Do you reassure someone they have their money, don’t go to another bank just to turn around and do this? Leave a family with NOTHING!! Especially now...... I have never been more let down by humans in my life!!! How heartbreaking. I would no longer trust my money in these hands. No one was willing to even release enough for me to buy milk while they hold my $27,000.00 check they can’t give back. I’m sure most moms can understand the feeling I have currently.

Zechariah1Always received poor customer service at this location. The one downtown is much better but I'm in the process of closing my Atlantic Union account and switching to a friendlier more accessible bank as of today.

Lorraine Rees2Check deposit now takes days to clear. Service is slower. When you schedule payments online, the amount doesn’t show for several days and doesn’t show in pending transactions for days. Then it takes days to process. I will be changing banks soon.
