  Not the Right Bank for a Mortgage If You Want Good Customer Service We worked with Ted M. to arrange a mortgage for a house we bought in Shawsville. On two separate occasions, one in-person and one via email, I told Mr. M that we wanted to pay our insurance and taxes ourselves and not to have those escrowed. He said sure, not a problem, but each set of documents came back to us showing the opposite. On the day of closing the documents were still wrong and we were forced to sign them in order to close on that day. I contacted Mr. M with Atlantic Union Bank about the issue after the closing by email. Again, he told me it would be fixed. He fixed it alright...by selling our mortgage to PHH mortgage, another lender. If you are looking for good customer service for your mortgage loan, I do not recommend Atlantic Union Bank.

  I haven't been to any other branches but our small business opened an account here recently and we could not be happier with the whole experience. The service has been absolutely outstanding! Moving a business account can be very difficult due to day-to-day business issues. It's hard to just close a business account down while still serving your customers. The people here sat down with us and planned out the whole process, walking us through each and every step, ensuring that the transfer was smooth and painless. We even diversified out account profile with no trouble at all. We were dreading the process and the Union Bank people really took charge and talked us off a ledge when we were in a really stressed out and overwhelmed place. Since we moved, everything has hummed along smoothly with no hiccups at all. If you are looking for a good, dependable bank with a top notch staff, from the Branch Manager to the Tellers... we can't recommend this Union branch highly enough.

  Received a check for a few thousand dollars. Went to deposit it into my account and they put a hold on it. I can understand if I am cashing it. I needed some of the money desperately. Soon as possible I will be changing banks. This is the second huge issue I've had with them.

  I've banked with Atlantic Union since they were FNB and I've found their customer service and product variety to be top-notch.
