  I have come across a few issues with ascend that drive me crazy but working with their staff to resolve those issues has been great. Grayson is awesome. He went above and beyond to get my account fixed in a timely manner.

  I exclusively bank here and have had several loans in the past 10 years including my mortgage and auto. They are always so helpful and kind. I recently got another auto loan and Karen McCullough assisted me. She also helped with my mortgage loan several years ago. I can't say enough how patient and sweet she is. She also helped me set up my first credit card and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I will never bank anywhere else. Thank you Karen and ascend.

  Very often not there during listed business hours and they never have any notification or listing as to why they aren't there. This is the third time I've gone there to do business that cant be done at an ATM and no one is inside. The Manchester branch is disappointly lazy. In the very least, put a sign on the front door letting customers know why you arent there and when they can come back, but no, the Manchester branch is too lazy to do that.

We have recently had some branch impacts due to COVID-19. Each branch is supposed to have a door poster that outlines those impacts including our Saturday lobby closures. Beginning this week, we are resuming normal lobby hours on Saturday. We appreciate your membership and hope to see you soon.

  I went in and opened an account with ascend just to get my car refinanced...however they would not refinance my car and also said they wouldn't refund the $30 I just spent to open an account with them...then also tried to charge me a fee to close the account. Ridiculous. Horrible customer service. A supervisor allowed a refund of my $30. It's bad enough when the employees aren't friendly, then just to find they rip you off. I don't understand how this place is still in business if this is how they treat their "valued members".

  Thank you for your comment. Without knowing the details of your specific situation, it appears you made a $25 donation to The Nature Conservancy in order to become eligible to join Ascend. We are a not-for-profit financial cooperative, and the additional $5 was the cost for a share of the company; it’s the basic requirement of membership with Ascend. Since all of Ascend’s members are also owners of the credit union, we are charged with being good stewards of our members’ money. We only make loans that make sense; it protects both the individual applying for the loan and the membership as a whole. Again, we don’t know the details of your particular situation, but if we did not refinance your auto loan, there was a good reason. Ascend has been serving Middle Tennesseans for more than 65 years, and we take service very seriously.   Nothing like trying to use your ATM card on a Friday at 6:15 pm and finding your account locked. Would have been nice to be informed if someone hacked my card.

  Great place to do business! I had fraud on my account and they took care of it quickly! Money was back in my account in 24 hours. Thanks for taking care of me!
