Arvest Bank Reviews

Korey Boyd1I have been trying to apply for a mortgage loan and arvest has completely ignored me. So I went online and applied and a mortgage officer in Tulsa (3 hours away) called me while I was at work and unable to talk and asked if he could call me back on my lunch break and he did not, and has since not returned my calls. I work in bentonville and specifically asked for a local loan officer and still was given someone out of state. I can't even call the bank because none of their phone members work. Absolutely horrible customer service.
Response from the ownerHi Korey, we are very sorry to hear about your experience. We would like the opportunity to listen and learn more. Would you please send your contact information to [email protected]? We would like to connect you with a member of local management.

Gina Mcleod1I have been to this branch 2 times to cash my sons check from a company that I work for that he has been doing some work for. The company check is drawn on Arvest bank. My husband and I both have accounts at Arvest and have had for 25+ years. The checks were both under $75 and my son signed them then I signed them put my account number under my name and I still got hassled about cashing the check and told I would have to deposit them. Need less to say I was frustrated by this point. Then I was told that I had to write Minor by his name and they would cash the first one which was $61 dollars. The second time I did exactly what they told me the first time and then I got hassled about not having put Parent by my name for a check that was $ 45. It seems that there is no since of CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYMORE. And I had more than enough to cover either check in my account. I was also asked if I wanted to cash the checks against my account which I did not understand since the checks were drawn on Arvest Bank in the first place. I don't know if it is training or ignorance but I have been thinking about taking my business elsewhere. There has to be a bank that still believes that the customer is the reason they have a job and not that we are just and inconvenience. Because that is exactly how they make you feel. Not happy at all with the treatment I received.
Response from the ownerHi Gina, we're very sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. We want to thank you and your husband for being Arvest customers for more than 25 years. We'd like to connect you to a member of local management to discuss further. Will you please send your name and contact phone number to [email protected]?

Carlos Gomez5Just wanted to say I’m sad to hear that estella isn’t working there anymore but I was very content with a young lady named anallely I believe she was very helpful and great with her communication. She made my experience delightful and better than last time I had with another young lady who I can’t recall her name but barely knew what she was talking about. Encounters like these are why I’ve been banking with Arvest for years and still will remain a loyal customer.
Response from the ownerHi Carlos, we're so happy to hear about your experiences with Estella and Anallely! Thank you very much for being a member of the Arvest family.

Michelle Higgins1There last week I understand that with the situation the world is in things to take longer but this bank has always been very slow at the drive-through. I called in because the vehicle in front of me had sent the tuba five times it was a van they tried to say now they was just trying to verify the guys information because he was trying to catch cash or check. I complained. When it was my turn the teller was very rude at me and told me to keep my opinion to myself I will never go back to that branch again. One reason I’m not going be told what I can say. Another she was younger than me. I do believe we still have freedom of speech.
Response from the ownerHi Michelle, we’re so sorry to hear that your recent visit to our branch in Springdale did not meet your expectations. We understand how valuable your time is and apologize for the inconvenience we may have caused. We would like to connect you to a member of local management to listen and learn more about your experience. Would you please send your name and contact phone number to [email protected]?

Jolynn Gregory1I had to check a star to get to write a post, but I wouldn't give them any stars!! Last month a teller at the drive thru deposited over 2000.00 dollars into someone else account instead of our business account. When I brought this to their attention the girl I spoke to, her name was JESSICA RICHMOND, said that this happens a lot and that the only thing she could do was put some "fake money" into our account so that we would have funds available and that if any thing came in before they got it fixed it would cover it. I checked my account and sure enough she put money into our account but then at midnight it came back out and everything went negative to say the least. I called Monday morning and they said that it was being investigated but that they would return any OD fees. Well to let you all know I call that theft and returning any OD fees that you guys caused wont help me out with the AWD accounts that weren't paid and I had to call them to let them know it was a bank error. I still have the deposit slip that shows the last four numbers of the account they put my money into and the teller that did this. Yesterday I went into the bank again and ended up speaking to JESSICA RICHMOND again - While I was standing at the front counter, where she was working from, I was waiting for her to come back over and I look over and on the counter in plain view was a customers paperwork with a copy of her drivers license, address and numbers. I then asked her for a manager and she told me she was the assistant branch manager. I asked her if it was policy for her to leave customers paperwork out in the open like that and what she said almost knocked me over. This assistant branch manager said, " THAT'S NOT MY PAPERWORK." WOW!! Really. Then she sent me to an employee that opened personal bank accounts. I needed to talk about my BUSINESS Account. She just wanted to get rid of me and the poor guy said he really didn't know why she sent me to him, she was HIS assistant branch manager. I did GET to speak to Jessica again when she came back into his office and told me that she had called around and found a person named DANIEL that told her he KNEW ME WELL!!! and that there was nothing he could help me with either. So I guess if you ask for assistance you become the CUSTOMER THAT EVERYONE KNOWS WELL!!! I guess that I've become that customer.
Response from the ownerJolynn Gregory, we are truly sorry to hear about this. If you would give us the chance, we would like to speak with you and learn more. Would you please email [email protected] with your phone number so we can have management follow up?

Karen R5This bank has a super in Mr. Jose Hernandez. He is a loan officer there. He is the consummate professional, but caring and kind. You are not just an application, but he keeps humanity in the process, which is so helpful during these stressful times. He is an asset to this bank. Jessica Melara1Waited one hour to open an account. They have 6 offices and only one associate to open accounts. Why do you hire people and dont schedule them in until you close. Working one person to open accounts is not right. Im sure she was underpaid. Followup. One month later my son does not have his debit card. We have called customer service 3 times. Finding out no card was ev ever issued but the person said it was first mailed to the wrong address although we have 2 other accounts open..
Response from the ownerJessica Melara We’re sorry to hear about this. We’d like to discuss what happened with you. Please email [email protected] with your phone number or call us at (866) 952-9523 so we can have local management follow up.
